Rhythm games like Guitar Hero and PaRappa The Rapper are two examples of how to do the genre well. Sadly, Battle Of The Bands is a good way to show how not to do it – even if it is a budget title.
Notes roll up from the bottom of the screen, and you must move the Wii Remote in time to these. Unfortunately it’s both far too easy and potentially painful (a strained wrist wouldn’t be surprising), although the track list is quite impressive.
Click here to get this Wii game for £4.99 from Play.com. One of those cheap games that might make a decent stocking filler for Christmas, I suppose.
