Mass Effect 3 is due to release on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on 9 March 2012 in the UK, and is currently available to pre order from most online gaming stores and supermarkets now.

Mass Effect 3 Description
The final game in the exciting Mass Effect series arrives on our shelves in early March and is being released on the PS3 and XBox platforms, as well as a PC version. There are a number of different modes in Mass Effect 3 allowing you to determine the direction of the game. The most popular of these, the role playing mode lets you customize your character to give a great interactive experience. The other roles for single playing mode are action mode, where you just let the game run itself and get involved in the action, without any character customization. Story mode is more like the role playing mode in that you can determine your outcome and customize your character, although the battles and fights you get involved in are not as challenging.
For multiplayer modes, join up with up to 3 other players and complete the missions and challenges that are thrown your way. Successful campaigns will result in credits which can be used to purchase packs as you progress through the game. If you've got Kinect, then the XBox version has a unique feature where you can shout your commands which will be readily understood by the technology.

Copies of Mass Effect 3 are to be launched into space as part of a marketing ploy. These Special Edition Space version copies will use modern technology data capturing devices as well as weather balloons to track their wherabouts, which can be followed on the Mass Effect website. Lucky fans who manage to track the copies get to keep them and play the game early as they should land before the official Release date.
Various cities are taking part including London, which launches on 27 Feb 2012.
