Halo 3: ODST is an expansion pack for the first-person shooter Halo 3. Originally this was going to be an add-on for Halo 3, but developers Bungie have instead decided to make it a stand-alone title (which means you don't need to already own Halo 3 in order to play) – much to the irritation of gamers who believed that it would possibly be available as downloadable content.

Although bearing a strong resemblance to other entries in the Halo series, in this one you don't play as Master Chief – you are in control of a lone Orbital Drop Ship Trooper in the city of New Mombasa, East African Protectorate (formerly Kenya).
