It's interesting that in many war games, you can't actually destroy everything around you – however, in Battlefield: Bad Company you can do just that. Not a big selling point, I know, but something that was very welcome when it first came out.

Other titles, such as Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, may have had more fanfare and acclaim, but this should certainly not be missed. Large maps, a decent single-player campaign, and a wide array of vehicles, make it one of the most underrated games on the next-generation platforms.
