Just to confuse the general public at large, Alone In The Dark is actually the fifth entry in the series of the same name – even though this shares the title of the first in the series, there are absolutely no similarities at all (so why they didn’t come up with a new name is beyond me).

You play as Edward Carnby, who is looking for answers to strange supernatural and bizarre events while battling his way through the opposition in New York’s Central Park. Interestingly, you can choose to start the game from the beginning or skip a section if you get stuck – if you choose the latter option, past events are recollected in a "Previously on Alone In The Dark" cutscene at the beginning of the new episode.
