It’s an unfortunate fact that thus far the Wii doesn’t have too many "must have" titles available for it, although I’m sure that there will be more in the future. Maybe.
Thankfully No More Heroes falls into this bracket with some exceptional writing, witty satire, a unique visual style, excellent controls, and a very good soundtrack. The only disappointing thing is that all of the blood has been taken out, as us Europeans are a bit sensitive apparently.
HMV have this Wii game available for £9.99 - click here for more details.

As a longtime semi-fanboy of Pro Evolution, it almost pains me to say that this year’s FIFA is much better than PES 2009: Pro Evolution Soccer. Konami simply haven’t done enough to improve on the last one, whereas E.A. appear to be listening to what the fans want to see.
The "Be A Pro" mode is a great little idea, where you take control of one player throughout his career and help build up his stats. Combined with some excellent online multiplayer play, as well as the standard career options, this is football gaming at its best.

Sales of Okami haven’t been all that good, which is disappointing as it’s one of the best gaming experiences you’ll probably ever have. Positive reviews from nearly everybody usually translates into a big success, but this serves as an example that breaks that rule.
Playing as the wolf incarnation of the Japanese sun God Ameratsu, channel your divine power through use of the mighty celestial paintbrush to restore beauty and order to a bleak world overrun by evil. Use the Wii Remote to slash through wood, rock, and demon foe whilst using your brain to solve puzzles and create helpful images.

SimCity Creator follows the same basic SimCity formula that sees you managing a city and placing residential, commercial, and industrial buildings alongside facilities such as police stations, hospitals, and stadiums.
However, you can also now customise the look of the buildings by giving them different themes - from Egyptian or Roman styles through to ones that look like confectionary.
The Hut are selling the DS version for £12.71 - for more information, click here. Wii owners can click here to buy their release for £17.99 from Game.
The arrival of Rock Band meant that the pressure was on for the guys behind Guitar Hero to make the next one even better. With Guitar Hero: World Tour, they appear to have done just that.
It’s the first in the series to feature drum and microphone controllers (available separately) and you can also now create your own songs in the "Music Studio". These can be uploaded and shared through the GHTunes service, where you can download other people’s tunes to play yourself.
To get Guitar Hero: World Tour (with a wireless guitar) on the PS2 for £37.99 from ShopTo, simply click here. The same retailer has the Wii version (click here) available for £60 and the PS3 (click here) and XBox 360 (click here) releases priced at £62.99 each.
Cheap games like this can pretty much take over your life, as they are the best example of a "just one more go" kind of deal that I can think of.

Samba De Amigo is a rhythm game that first appeared on the Sega Dreamcast, but has recently been updated for the Wii generation. The Wii Remote and Wii Nunchuk are used to simulate the maraca-shaking from the original, or you can just use two Wii Remotes for completely wireless play - maraca-shaped attachments are also available to provide a full experience.
Characters and stages are the same as the original, although they have much better graphics than before. A "Career" mode is also exclusive to the Wii version, and there are some 23 new songs to master (with more to buy as downloadbale content).
Game have this title available for £17.99 - click here for more details.

It was on the cards since last year, but FIFA has finally surpassed Pro Evolution Soccer in the fight for top football game. FIFA 09 is great fun in either single player or with a friend, and runs much faster than I remembered it did previously.
Goalkeepers have improved tremendously, and actually appear to want to save the ball - which has always been something of a problem in the past! The online mode is as good as ever, and "Be A Pro" has been extended to run for a total of four seasons.
If you fancy the PlayStation 2 version, click here to get it for £14.97 from Amazon - click here to get the PSP release for the same price from the same retailer.
Also at Amazon you can buy the PS3 (click here), Wii (click here), or XBox 360 (click here) versions for £22.97 each.

In all honesty, TNA: iMPACT! isn’t very good. Those used to the glitz and glamour of the WWE video games will be disappointed with the limited and repetitive movesets, poor entrances, lack of Championship belts, and poor computer opposition.
Fans of the company will definitely at least want to take a look, as everyone you’d expect is included. The graphics are pretty good too, and the controls are very easy which makes it simple to pick up and play straight away.
Click here to buy the Wii version, click here for the PlayStation 3 release, or click here to get the XBox 360 version - all of which are £14.73 each over at The Hut.

We are but weeks from Christmas now, and there’s been no sign of any console shortages…yet! It still wouldn’t surprise me one bit if stocks begin to run low, but I could be wrong.
Anyway, the Wii is known by everyone as the system that revolutionised gaming in a way that no other has. This is more to do with the fact that anyone can pick up a Wii Remote and play, than it is with a great catalogue of cheap games (which it doesn’t have).
Instore at Morrisons you can pick up a Nintendo Wii console for £159.99, until the 5th of November. All come with a Wii Remote and a copy of the brilliantly fun Wii Sports.

In the run up to Christmas last year, Play.com ran a "deal of the day" offer where there was one very good bargain to be had every single day of the week - and it appears as though it’s back again for 2008.
FIFA 09 is up for grabs for a top price until the end of Monday the 3rd of November, and it’s well worth picking up. Not only has it improved greatly since the last version, but it’s actually better than this year’s Pro Evolution! Shocking!
