Tesco – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Deal – £25.00
Tesco have the top launch offer with MW3 at only £25 when you buy selected Xbox Live points or PSN cards.
With the competition hotting up for the best prices for the most eagerly awaited game of the year , COD Modern Warfare 3, the prices for the PS3 and XBox have stayed consistently around the £40 mark or just under for the cheapest price. The have of course been the occasional MW3 voucher code floating around to get a small deduction on this, but that's about all. The supermarket Modern warfare 3 prices have been around £39.90 (ie Tesco MW3 price and Asda MW3 price) with other stockists with stores such selling for around £43.00

Today (4 November) still 4 days before the release day, Best Buy have reduced their pre order price on both the XBox 360 and the PS3 to a flat £34.99. This is the price to buy without any voucher code and without any minimum spend or other strings attached! It is unclear whether any stores will do deals in response to the price cut, which they normally do, but that tends to be when a main competitor reduces the price.
Best Buy are relatively new to the gaming market, having started selling a few top games in 2010 but now offer very competitive prices for nearly all the top games and consoles. Also they don't appear on a lot of price comparison websites as they don't tend to have the pricing feeds in place. Also, due to them being fairly new to the gaming market, it's also not exactly clear how much stock they will have available. Clearly the most popular stores like the Supermarkets or Amazon have thousands of copies available, but Best Buy may not be quite as prepared for the rush that being £5.00 cheaper than their nearest rival will undoubtedly bring!
