In 1997, video game developer DMA Design introduced the hugely popular Grand Theft Auto franchise into the market. Grand Theft Auto, also known as GTA has continued to release games into the market with 10 stand alone games and four expansion packs being released since it began in 1997. The GTA franchise fall under the Action-Adventure, Open World and Crime genres as the games constantly develop as each new one is released. The latest installment in Grand Theft Auto V, which is expected to be better than ever and is being released on the Xbox and PS3 platform.

Grand Theft Auto has definitely proved itself as one of the major players in the gaming market, with numerous games already released and the game building in popularity over the world. Since the very first release in 1997, Grand Theft Auto have continued to improve their games with the latest release being Grand Theft Auto V on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The latest instalment into the GTA franchise, Grand Theft Auto V is set to be the best one yet as developed by Rockstar North, the game is expected to have more destruction, mayhem and adventure than ever before. Unlike previous versions where you normally play along with just one character throughout the whole story, you now have the opportunity to play as one of three protagonists – Franklin, Michael and Trevor.

Set in Los Santos, the three characters all live in different parts of town – each with their own issues, attitudes, desires and lifestyles which makes each one of them unique. However although each of them have different abilities and targets, they all have one thing in common and that is there love for crime and the big income they get at the end of each job. This will bring them all together to make one of the most deadly teams yet. The characters do not know what fear means. Once they have their eyes on the prize, they will do anything to get their hands on it. As you visit the streets of Los Santos and the Blaine County, you will come across a wide range of enemies that will try to get in your path and meet people along the way that will help you to achieve your goals. With the streets full of faded celebrities, bikers, thugs, crack heads, gangs and hikers, you will you trust in order to stay safe and prevent yourself from being trapped behind bars.

Latest GTA V News

In the official trailer, they announced that the developers, RockStar North have now released the ability to play Grand Theft Auto Online in an open world format. This means that you can play other hardcore gamer’s around the world in an open world and see who isthe biggest crimninal of them all as your fly jets, drive cars and cause mayhem in Los Santos. However, the trailer only showed a snippet of this stating there will be later more details announced teasing the user’s even more into how the online mode of Grand Theft Auto can be played.
