After being rumored for some time, the Sony PlayStation 3 160GB slim console was officially released the other year. Not only is this much smaller in size than the original 80GB model, but you also get an additional 80GB of hard drive space on which to store stuff.
The main criticism of this is that it looks a wee bit on the ugly side, but I'm sure that most people won't give a damn! It consumes less power as well, which means you'll be doing your bit for the environment (sort of) when playing games.
