Crash Bandicoot Action Pack

Crash Bandicoot has never quite been as popular as Sonic or Mario, but there’s still a fair few games that star him. Three of them are contained in the Crash Bandicoot Action Pack.

This PlayStation 2 title provides great value for money, as you’re getting three games for under £10. They are Crash Nitro Kart, Crash Twinsanity and Crash Tag Team Racing - all of which are pretty decent.

TMNT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Even though the 1989 arcade game of the same name is much better, TMNT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has still managed to sell just over a million copies. Proof positive that people will buy any old tat, I think you’ll agree.

This is based on the 2007 CGI movie TMNT (which was fairly average), and is a fairly run-of-the-mill platform title. Kids may get some enjoyment out of it however, as well as Turtles fans.

Click here to get the PSP version for just £1.99 from Sendit.com, click here to buy the PlayStation 2 release for £4.93, or click here to get the Wii version for £11.93 - the latter two both being from Asda.

Phew, that’s a lot of cheap games!

War Of The Monsters

3D fighting games such as Rampage and Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee are obvious influences upon the makers of War Of The Monsters. This is ever so slightly better than both of them though.

The aftermath of an alien invasion of Earth has spawned giant monsters that battle it out across city environments, as you do. The game looks a bit like one of the old monster movies and homages are made to these, including characters that resemble Godzilla and King Kong.

If you fancy this PS2 title, click here to get it for £6.99 from SoftUK.

Power Rangers: Super Legends

Power Rangers: Super Legends is like some sort of reunion for many of the stars from the TV show’s past, with 16 different playable characters from "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" right through to "Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive".

Lord Zedd has reappeared in his old form and is buggering around with the time stream to try and destroy every Power Ranger throughout history. Gather a force of Power Rangers and artifacts from across time to break through to his hidden dimension and restore the timeline.

Gamestation are selling this PlayStation 2 title for £9.98 - for more information, click here. Please note that Gamestation now do free postage (yay!).

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?: Party Edition (With Buzzers) is one of those cheap games worth getting for when friends come round

If you’ve ever wanted to be a part of the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? TV show, but have never had the chance, then the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?: Party Edition (with four snazzy buzzers) game will be your next best shot at sort of getting there. Without the potential cash prize. Or studio audience.

This PS2 title has a single player mode which is almost exactly like what you see on television, and a couple of multiplayer modes (one particularly evil mode called Millionaire Party lets you steal questions, like some sort of quizzical thief).

Pop in to your local Tesco and you might be able to pick this up for only £7.50. The buzzers can also be used with any of the Buzz! games on either the PlayStation 2 or even the PlayStation 3.

Resident Evil 4

If you’ve player any of the Resident Evil games and not been impressed, then Resident Evil 4 will definitely change your opinion - it’s quite simply one of the best titles ever made.

With graphics that rival any other on the PS2, a gripping storyline, creative and unique boss battles, and a character you genuinely care about, this is pure gaming joy. Good times.

Pop in to your local Toys R Us and pick this up for just £6.99.

Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock (With Wireless Guitar)

If you’ve never played any of the Guitar Hero games, I can’t stress highly enough that you should buy at least one of them (and a guitar to go with it) as soon as possible. Really great stuff.

Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock (with a wireless guitar) is the latest game to appear on the PlayStation 2, and it’s very probably the best one yet. Loads of decent songs to play along to on this one.

Game are selling this for £29.99, which is an excellent price - however we can get it even lower than this as there’s a £3 off when you spend £30 voucher floating about.

Click here to add the game to your basket and add this wrapping to go over the £30 threshold - this will bring the total price down to £27.98. The voucher code is ID734TJAW, by the way.

One final point is that any PlayStation 3, Wii or XBox 360 owners interested in this title should look at the earlier post about Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock (ignore the PS2 bit obviously).

Friends: The One With All The Trivia

Friends: The One With All The Trivia is a trivia game about the much-missed TV show Friends. I bet you would never have guessed that from looking at the cover.

A film may be in the works at some point, so to tide you over until it does eventually happen you can answer thousands of questions about it with this game.

Think of it like Buzz! Quiz TV, but without buzzers. And a funny bloke to guide you through the game.

Guitar Hero

The very first Guitar Hero title is incredibly difficult to get for a decent price, so I’d strongly advise you to get this while it’s still available - you won’t regret it for a second.

Sadly this doesn’t come with the guitar, but you could always get Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock from Amazon for £29.97 as it comes with a wireless one.

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2 lets you choose from over 30 different characters to play through over 60 thrilling missions, take on challenging mini-games, and test your skills on 16 unique battle stages.

This is the very first Naruto title to incorporate role-playing elements, via character upgrades, which bring a whole new level of depth to the gameplay.
