Fancy setting up your own shop, but don’t want to lose the shirt off your back? Well, DS title Tamagotchi Connexion Corner Shop lets you do just that - choose from a dentist’s office, beauty salon, bakery, or many other different retail ideas.

You won’t be surprised to hear that there’s a ton of mini-games (it is Nintendo remember) that you have to complete in order to help customers and make some money. If only real life was that easy!

In order to get this game, all you have to do is click right here.

You can still get Tamagotchi Connexion Corner Shop 2 for £9.99, by the way.

The Need For Speed series has been incredibly up and down over the years - it started off well, seemed to be stuck in limbo for a time, and has just recently appeared to be on its way back up again. Very odd.

Need For Speed: Prostreet is the latest title, and is very probably the best in quite some time. Although still far from being as good as other racers available, it’s still good to burn rubber all around the world - although there’s no online multiplayer mode, which is a shame.

Click here to get the DS version for £7.99 from CD-WOW, click here to bag the PSP release for £19.99 from Powerplay Direct, or click here to buy the XBox 360 version for £13.99 from SoftUK.

Young girls will very probably love Strawberry Shortcake: The Four Seasons Cake, on the DS. Some young boys will as well, but I’m pretty sure that they’re not the intended market.

Strawberry Shortcake and her girlfriends join up to try and win the Strawberryland baking contest - to do this they must travel through the four seasons to collect the ingredients that they need. Sounds great.

Game are selling this title for £9.99 - for more information, click here.

Wall-E £17.83

The big summer film is probably going to be Wall-E (actually, it might be The Dark Knight - but kids will be more interested in Wall-E). I’m always wary when a game based on a movie appears, so here’s hoping this is at least bearable.

All the characters from the film are present and correct, as is the voice talent. As well as reliving key moments from the movie, in the game you’ll also enjoy new storylines and explore massive environments that you won’t see in the cinema.

To get the DS version click here, for the PS2 release click here, and for the PSP version click here - all are £17.83 each at Asda.

It’s quite difficult to keep count of all the different Final Fantasy games available for various systems (such as Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII on the PSP). The DS only (!) has three, one of which is the console exclusive Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings.

Following directly after the events of Final Fantasy XII, this allows you to meet and encounter a whole host of new characters and worlds. There’s a very easy-to-use control scheme as well, which is nice.

New Colour Nintendo DS Lites £95

There’s your three new colour Nintendo DS Lites - green, red and turquoise. I have to say that I like the look of the red one, tis very snazzy indeed.

The DS Lite is a step up from the older chunky DS, in that this time you can actually fit it in your pocket. You also have a brighter display screen and a much easier button configuration, which make for less stress on your poor fingers!

Instore at Asda you can pick up either of these for £95.

There’s only one handheld console worth getting (in my opinion anyway) - the Nintendo DS Lite. With a great selection of games to choose from, as well as the ability to play your old GameBoy Advance games, it’s head and shoulders above the competition.

John Lewis are selling the black console along with a copy of Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain? for £99.95. However, if you enter the voucher code PRR852PCH876 you get £10 off - taking the price down to £89.95.

Stranded on a desert island, you must help your Sims overcome the forces of nature so that they can survive and thrive whilst discovering how to get back to civilisation.

It seems to me that somebody at E.A. has been watching Lost (but thankfully not been playing Lost: The Video Game) and thought that it might work for a Sims title - and they’re right, it does!

If this game takes your fancy, click here to get the DS version for £13 from ShopTo or click here to buy the PSP release for £14.93 from Asda.

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings £9.99

Following directly on from Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings allows you to experience new scenarios, meet new characters and explore new locations in Ivalice - where you may recognise some familiar characters, locations and gameplay systems as well.

The gameplay is incredibly simple to get your head round, so even the most stupid gamer (me!) can play without too much fuss. This is a DS exclusive, by the way, so don’t look for it anywhere else - you won’t find it!

SoftUK are selling this game for £9.99 - click here for more details.

Puzzle games are plentiful on the DS, so here’s another one to tickle your fancy - Puyo Pop Fever. Throw as many chains together as possible to crush your opponents, much like you would in Tetris - or Monster Bomber, or Puzzle Kombat (which can be found on Ultimate Mortal Kombat) for that matter.

You can play up to seven other people from the one cartridge, which is nice. It’s a pity that there’s no wireless network play, but we can’t have everything I suppose.

If you wish to get this title, click here to buy it for £8.93 from Asda.
