From the EA Casual Entertainment label, Smarty Pants at long last evens the playing field for folks of all ages, allowing simultaneous play using age-targeted trivia plus action-based gestures, making it a truly transgenerational game made (which has been designed exclusively for the Wii).

Tailoring questions to the contestant’s age, gamers from eight to eighty can join in on the fun all concurrently. Every participant’s answer is tracked, and the game automatically adjusts the difficulty level to provide uninterrupted stimulation and interactive challenges that are age suitable. Exciting Wii gestures make everything a game, from spinning the category wheel and tug-of-wars over correct answers, to "dance-offs" for extra points.

Smarty Pants features multiple game modes including a family mode, a single team race against the clock and a rapid-fire competitive mode ideal for groups of friends. With both competitive and cooperative game modes and 20,000 questions in multiple categories, the fun is nearly endless!

Jumper From £11.99

I wonder if there will ever be a really decent game based on a film (I’m discounting The Godfather as it came out ages after the film did!)?

Jumper is another mediocre attempt at bridging the divide between the two mediums - to put it mildly, it stinks.

Click here to get the PlayStation 2 version for £11.99, click here for the Wii release (which is £14.99) or click here for the XBox 360 one which is £16.99 - all are from HMV, who clearly want to get rid of it (and who can blame them).

The Wii has been an amazing success since it was released a couple of years ago - in fact, I often wonder whether Nintendo even predicted it would be this popular.

The fact that you get a fairly simplistic, but decent, game thrown in for free is a fantastic bonus.

ShopTo have the Wii Console (With Wii Sports) available for £169.99 - for more details, click here.

Sega Superstars Tennis lets you play tennis with various characters from the Sega universe on courts based around famous gaming arenas.

It’s quite reminiscent of Mario Tennis, but I’m not for one second insinuating that Sega copied Nintendo.
