The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess £19.99

Even though it was a launch title, The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess is still easily one of the best single player games on the Wii. Although not as great as Ocarina Of Time (which will probably never be surpassed), it’s still well worth adding to your collection.

The Wii Remote is used as a sword, and the Wii Nunchuk is used as the shield - it takes a little getting used to, but becomes quite natural after a while. The epic storyline will also keep you entertained throughout, and I’m sure that you’ll also love the fishing bits (which are incredibly addictive, for some reason).

Instore at Currys you can get this title for £19.99.

It’s fair to say that with any of the Tiger Woods PGA Tour games you know exactly what you’re going to get - namely the best golfing experience you can have without spending a bomb on green fees.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 is the newest entry in the series, and comes with one or two new additions. The biggest is probably the appearance of Tiger Woods’ real-life coach Hank Haney who pops up to offer advice if and when you need it.

Click here to buy the PS2 version for £17.89 from Sendit.com. You can also get the PSP version for the same price from the same retailer by clicking here.

PlayStation 3 owners can get their release for £24 instore at Asda, and Wii gamers can click here to get their version for £24.98 from Amazon. Finally, if you have an XBox 360 you can click here to buy this title for £27.99 from ShopTo.

Phew!

If you’ve been visiting this site for any period of time, you may have noticed that I’m quite harsh on games based on movies - I only do it to warn everyone about how bad they generally are. I’m aware that some people enjoy crap games, which is fine, but I’d hate to see someone buy one on the expectation of it being good.

The Incredible Hulk is yet another title to add to the ever expanding list of mediocrity. At least Edward Norton provides the voice for Bruce Banner, although I doubt this would be a deal-breaker!

If you fancy the Wii version, click here to buy it for £9.97 from PC World. PlayStation 3 (click here) and XBox 360 (click here) owners can get their releases for £9.99 from Comet, whilst DS players can click here to buy their version for £11.49 from Forget The Rest.

First off, an apology - the site hasn’t been updated for some 12 days now, as I’ve had the flu. You’ll be glad to hear that I’m better now, so expect updates every day from now on. Great.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, with a wireless guitar, is the first band-specific title in the series and features songs not only by Aerosmith themselves, but other groups they have toured with or who have influenced them in some way.

Gamestation have the PlayStation 3 version available for £49.98 - click here for more details. You may also be interested to learn that the Wii (click here) and XBox 360 (click here) releases are also the same price.

You may or may not have heard about the Sainsburys console offers that allegedly start today and end on Monday the 13th of October.

If you pop instore then you might be able to pick up the following:

Nintendo Wii £149.97
XBox 360 Arcade Pack £99.97
XBox 360 60GB Premium Pack £139.97

As I said, this is unconfirmed - however as soon as I get word that it’s 100% true, I’ll let you know.

UPDATE: This has now been confirmed as officially running. Stocks will be flying out the door, but I’d expect that deliveries should be fairly frequent to keep up with the demand. Expect ads to appear in the newspapers tomorrow as well.

There’s a few Nintendo console deals around just now that seem worth mentioning, so I thought I’d do just that! Of course, there’s going to be a mad rush around Christmas, so my advice would be to pick one up before then as stocks may very well be low.

The Nintendo DS Lite is much smaller than the original DS, but doesn’t lose anything that it had. The ability to fit it in your pocket is handy, although I suspect that not many people are that bothered about keeping it in their pocket - lucky the games available for it are brilliant then.

Game currently have an offer where you get any colour of console that you wish with a free game (the titles are Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain?, High School Musical 2: Work This Out!, or Wall-E). If you fancy the look of this, click here for more details.

The Nintendo Wii has been something of a revelation since bursting onto the scene, mainly due to the fact that pretty much anyone can pick up a controller and play - from the very young to the very old! You use the Wii Remote much like a sword, tennis racket, or whatever else you can imagine (or it can also act like the old NES controller too).

Every console comes bundled with one Wii Remote and a copy of Wii Sports, which helps to display the unique features that the system has.

Game have a few different bundles available, and these include:

Wii console plus Star Wars: The Force Unleashed £179.99

Wii console plus Super Mario Galaxy £179.99

Wii console plus Wall-E £179.99

Wii console plus Big Beach Sports, Rayman: Raving Rabbids 2, and Super Mario Galaxy £199.99

One of the most popular series’ in recent times has been Guitar Hero, although the appearance of Rock Band has at least given it some competition. Both are fantastic in their own ways, with each having a great variety of songs to play along to.

Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock is the last guitar-only title in the series (Guitar Hero: World Tour will include drums, etc) and includes some great tunes to rock out to - Guns N’ Roses, The Sex Pistols, and The Rolling Stones are just a few of the featured artists.

Click here to buy the Wii version for £30.67, click here to get the PS3 release for £33.67, or click here to buy the XBox 360 version for the same price of £33.67 - all from Amazon.

Oh, I should also point out that these also come with wireless guitars. This makes this particular post one of the very top bargains I’ve seen this year - seriously outstanding value for money.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 From £24.99

If you’ve always wanted to learn some tips from Tiger Woods’ real-life coach, then now’s your chance - in a virtual sense, of course. Hank Haney offers tips, advice, and challenges that help to improve your skills.

There’s also the other usual little improvements graphics and gameplay wise, and this time the online mode has been improved to give a much better experience. All in all cheap games like this may not seem better than the previous entry in the series, however there’s enough new additions to warrant a look.

Play.com are selling the Wii version for £24.99 - for more information click here. They also have the XBox 360 release for the same price by clicking here, or click here to get the PlayStation 3 version for £27.99 from ShopTo (not forgetting to use the good old ShopTo £1 voucher, if you haven’t already).

de Blob £17.93

Puzzle games are always going to have an extra element of fun and/or difficulty on the Wii, and de Blob is no different. This sees you controlling a funny little blob who just so happens to share his name with the title, de Blob.

The evil I.N.K.T. Corporation have taken over Chroma City and outlawed all colour and fun - it’s your job to re-animate the city and help the oppressed by splattering buildings, landmarks, and citizens with colour. After you’ve had your fill of single player, there’s also a great multiplayer mode (though sadly without any online capabilities).

Click here to buy this game for £17.93 from Asda.

For anyone who’s been on Mars and doesn’t know what the Wii is, it’s a console that has revolutionised the way that we play games. Instead of using a pad, you use a stick (the Wii Remote) which can act like a sword or tennis racket - or many other things if you think about it.

I’ll admit that there isn’t a huge variety of great titles to choose from, but families will definitely love this as anyone can play. Controls are very simple to pick up on, so much so that elderly people have been known to use them in nursing homes! Mental!
