Spider-Man 3

As with almost every other movie-related game, Spider-Man 3 is incredibly average. My prayers may have been answered in regards to a decent film tie-in appearing though - the next James Bond game looks excellent (fingers crossed, eh?).

Kids will love this PlayStation 3 game as it’s very easy to control and not to difficult to complete either. If you’re a fan of the films (or comic books even) then you’ll probably enjoy it a little as well.

Instore at Toys R Us you can get this title for £9.99.

Conan £8

Conan

Oh dear. Conan really isn’t one of those cheap games I can recommend on any level - it’s just really not that good. Well, if you like "hack and slash" titles you may get some enjoyment out of it I suppose.

The films are quite good as well. Although saying that, the acting in them was not exactly of the highest quality - poor old Arnie has never been one for talking (which is odd when you consider his current job!).

Pop in to your local Zavvi and pick up this PS3 game for £8, if you dare!

MotorStorm

If you’re a PS3 owner in the market for a decent racing game, look no further than MotorStorm. Put simply, it’s one of the best racers available for the console - and to think it was a launch title!

The graphics look absolutely fantastic and the online multiplayer mode is an excellent addition as well. The handling of the vehicles might take a little getting used to, but you’ll soon get the hang of it.

Resistance: Fall Of Man

Many of the PS3 launch titles are actually still very playable, even now. Resistance: Fall Of Man was definitely a highlight and now that the sequel is on the horizon, it’s well worth taking a look at.

After you’ve completed the epic single player storyline which sees Britain and America join up to fight a horrific species of unknown origin, take it online and battle your friends (or enemies!) in the multiplayer arenas.

Official Wireless Sony Black SIXAXIS Controller

It might surprise you to learn that in order to use a PlayStation 3 you’ll need a controller. The Official Wireless Sony Black SIXAXIS Controller was the first to be released for the console.

Sadly it doesn’t include rumble feedback (although the DualShock 3 wireless controller does), but works just as any other PlayStation controller has. Well, to be precise.

If you fancy this, click here to get it for just £14.95 from The Game Collection.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots

Has Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots been over-hyped a little? Possibly yes, but does it really matter - if you were a fan of the series already, you’d have enjoyed it no matter what.

This last outing for Solid Snake isn’t a particularly long title - the new addition of Metal Gear Online gives you an almost entirely new game to play anyway!

Game are selling this PlayStation 3 title for £29.99 - however, if you spend £30 or more you can get £5 off. Click here to get the game and add this wrapping to your basket to go over the threshold, entering the voucher code T5J194MZX at the checkout to bring the price of the game down to £25.98.

Lost: The Video Game

Lost: The Video Game is based on Lost the TV series, surprisingly enough. In it you’ll encounter many of your favourite characters from the show, as well as some of the best moments from the series’ so far.

It’s not a great title by any means, as it’s not very long (total gameplay time amounts to about six hours) and is a bit too easy.

However now that you can get either the XBox 360 or PlayStation 3 versions for £4.99 from Comet, it’s well worth considering.

If you fancy the 360 release, click here to get it - you can’t order the PS3 one online, but you can get it instore (actually, you can get both instore).

Genji: Days Of The Blade

Genji: Days Of The Blade is based on the PS2 title Genji, and is set three years after the events of that game. Sadly this PlayStation 3 game suffers from being one of the first on the system - impressive graphics, but a distinct lack of gameplay value let it down badly.

It’s your typical "hack and slash" type game, with many enemies to defeat. However, some shoddy camera-work can at times leave you a bit peeved off! It is cheap though…

Comet have this title priced at just £4.99 - click here for more details (and use the "Collect from store" delivery option to save on postage). Not one of those cheap games that I can recommend, I’m afraid.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots

One of the best gaming series’, in my opinion anyway, has been the Metal Gear series. Great stories combined with some great gameplay equals great games - great!

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots is allegedly the last time we will see Solid Snake, but what a final game to appear in! The single player campaign has a gripping storyline, and the new addition of Metal Gear Online (which will have updates throughout the year) is brilliant.

The Club

I think that people have been a little bit harsh about The Club - it’s not the most brain-taxing game in the world, but it’s very simple to pick up and play. What can be easier than shooting anyone that moves?

As it’s by the creators of the Project Gotham Racing series, you can expect a polished look. This, combined with an excellent online multiplayer deathmatch mode, makes for a game that I personally enjoy. I’m sure you will too.

To get the PS3 version click here, and for the XBox 360 release click here - both of which are £9.99 each at Comet (choose the "Collect from store" option to save on postage).
