F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin £19.99

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is the long-awaited sequel to one of the best first-person horror shooters in recent years, F.E.A.R. Known for its intelligent enemies, this follow-up bumps the pressure up another notch to make them even more challenging and aggressive.

Although it has excellent atmosphere and scares, visually awesome gameplay, and fun weapons, this is perhaps not as good as the original – however, it’s certainly far from being awful.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed From £9.99

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed bridges the two Star Wars trilogies, and introduces a new protagonist, Starkiller, as Darth Vader’s secret apprentice. The first level sees you playing as the evil Lord, whilst the remainder of the game is seen through the eyes of the apprentice.

A more intimate and powerful story can be found in this than any of the prequel trilogy, and the soundtrack ranks up there with the best that the films can offer – maybe not too much that sounds exciting, but certainly enough to keep fans entertained.

NASCAR 09 From £17.99

Although the sport isn’t as popular in this country as, say, Formula One, there’s no disputing the amount of skill and talent all of the drivers in the NASCAR stock car racing events possess.

NASCAR 09 is the 12th video game to be produced based on the sport, and is as good as the other titles that came before it. One exciting new feature in this version is the inclusion of Jeff Gordon as a mentor, who you can turn to in times of difficulty.

Click here to get the XBox 360 release for £17.99 from Play.com, or click here to buy the PS3 version for £20.54 from ShopTo.

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit From £13.89

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit is the very first game in the Dragon Ball Z franchise to appear on either the XBox 360 or PlayStation 3. It focuses more in fighting instead of collecting capsules and Dragon Balls for your character, and is in 2D (unlike Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi which was "over the shoulder").

The story mode is is quite impressive, although newcomers may be a little confused as to what’s going on – the graphics are pretty good too.

If you fancy the XBox 360 version, click here to buy it for £13.89 from Sendit.com. PlayStation 3 owners can click here to get their release for £19.99 from ShopTo.

PlayStation 3 (With Killzone 2) £279.99

With the PlayStation 3 retailing for around £299.99 in most places, it’s considered by some to not be good value for money – whilst it is quite a bit of money, remember that you’re also getting once of the best Blu-Ray players around when you get one.

Not only that, but there are now a number of top-quality games available for the console (despite what some 360 fanboys would have you believe). Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots, Little Big Planet, and Killzone 2 are all completely brilliant titles – which brings me nicely to the following bundle…

Click here to get a PlayStation 3, with Killzone 2, for £279.99 from ShopTo.

A couple of months ago a new update was released for PES 2009: Pro Evolution Soccer that included some new kits and extra licensed teams. The best news though is that another update came out the other week that includes all of the activity from the January transfer window, plus some small updates to squad stats.

The game itself as is as good as its ever been, although it’s easy to see why some complain. Not only has FIFA come on in leaps and bounds, but the online play STILL HASN’T BEEN FIXED! Here’s hoping PES 2010 will sort it out, once and for all…

Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe £15.73

Although at first glance fighters from the Mortal Kombat series and the DC universe might seem like an odd pairing, it makes complete sense once you begin playing – there are obvious paralells between both sets of characters for a start.

All of the classic Mortal Kombat style is back for Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe, although heroic DC fighters (such as Batman and Superman) have brutalities instead of fatalities.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 £9.99

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is a "part sequel, part prequel", as events run both before and concurrently to the story of the former leader of Rainbow Six, Logan Keller, and continue from where the first game concluded.

In it you play the role of Bishop, who has a great deal more experience than Keller and is more deeply involved in the story. Along with an exciting single player campaign, the excellent co-op and multiplayer modes from the original return bigger and better than ever.

Lego Batman: The Video Game From £12.99

Although it was only a short time ago that we featured Lego Batman: The Video Game on this site at decent prices, it’s since dropped even more – apologies if you already made an order, but the value of stuff goes up and down very quickly on the Internets!

The title itself will seem very familiar to players of the Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones series’, the only difference being that you now get to control Batman and Robin. All of their most famous enemies make an appearance at some point, including The Joker and Catwoman – you can even play as them, if the fancy takes you.

Click here to get the Wii version for £12.99 from Amazon, click here to buy the XBox 360 release for £13.99 from SoftUK, or click here for the PlayStation 3 version which is £15.91 at Asda.
