Cheap Games

If you’re in the market for a couple of PlayStation 3 controllers, look no further than the SIXAXIS Wireless Controller Twin Pack that’s currently on offer.

Whilst these don’t have the rumble feedback feature (that one’s coming to the UK soon), they work perfectly well. No wires is nice as well.

Lost is a very good TV show and hopes were high that it would also translate into a very good video game. Sadly, that was not to be the case. It’s simply too short, and too easy as well.

That said, if you’re a fan you’ll definitely get some enjoyment out of it – it just won’t last that long!

Instore at Comet you can pick up either the PlayStation 3 or XBox 360 version for £9.99 each.

Yes, I realise that the XBox 360 version is just a few posts below this one – any kind of saving has to be good though, right?

When a title has such a decent online multiplayer mode it’s worth about a billion posts, if I’m being honest. Luckily, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 has one of the best around.

Click here to buy the PS3 release or click here for the XBox 360 version, both of which are £23 each at Zavvi.

Unreal Tournament III £19.99

Unreal Tournament III, on the PlayStation 3, marks the very first time that the popular arena-based first-person shooter has appeared on a next-generation console.

As you’d expect, the online multiplayer mode is top drawer stuff – it’s definitely up there with the best of them in the fun stakes anyway!

Game are selling this title for £19.99 – click here for more details.

It’s quite unusual that a game is designed specifically for two players, but Army Of Two is exactly that. You could always play with the console, but it’s rather terrible!

Interestingly, you can also take on other teams around the world via the online multiplayer mode.

Click here to pick up the PlayStation 3 version of this game for £29.96 from Amazon.

NBA 2K8 is probably the best looking basketball game you’ll have ever seen – the players have been completely redone to improve the likeness and overall graphical quality.

This game also has the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest, where you compete against three other players (either in your home or online) to see who the greatest dunker really is.

If you fancy this PlayStation 3 title, click here to buy it for £26.06 from Amazon.

As soon as you see the words "based on the hit movie" run a mile – more often than not the game is a big steaming pile of turd.

Sadly Iron Man is no different. It looks like the makers really couldn’t be bothered and just wanted to get something on the shelf in time for the film’s release.

Sega Superstars Tennis £20

I’m not the world’s biggest fan of tennis – when it comes to video games based on the sport, I’m a big fan (which makes absolutely no sense, but I digress).

Sega Superstars Tennis sees you playing against some of the best-loved Sega characters from some of the greatest games, on courts that will look very familiar.

Click here to buy this PlayStation 3 game for the reduced price of £20 from Zavvi.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots £31.93

One of the highlights of this gaming year will surely be Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots on the PlayStation 3.

Everything that’s been written about it so far suggests it will easily become the best in the series, which is no mean feat. One to definitely look out for.

Click here to preorder this game for £31.93 from Asda (you need to enter the voucher code May25 to get this price, by the way).

The Club £13

If ever a game had a simple idea, it’s The Club.

The basic aim is to kill as many people as you can in as quick a time as possible – which sounds easy, but is actually quite difficult. It’s very addicitve after a while.

To get the PS3 version of this game for £13, just pop in to your local Currys.
