The very first Guitar Hero title is incredibly difficult to get for a decent price, so I’d strongly advise you to get this while it’s still available – you won’t regret it for a second.

Sadly this doesn’t come with the guitar, but you could always get Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock from Amazon for £29.97 as it comes with a wireless one.

Fishing Master £17.79

If you’ve longed to be a fisherman, but don’t fancy the smell or the fact that you’ll be confined to what you catch by stupid EU regulations, then Fishing Master could be just the game for you.

This Wii title has you using the Wii Remote in the same way that you would use a fishing rod and serves as a fairly accurate experience of actually fishing. Most of the fish are real, but there are also some fictional ones as the game progresses.

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2 lets you choose from over 30 different characters to play through over 60 thrilling missions, take on challenging mini-games, and test your skills on 16 unique battle stages.

This is the very first Naruto title to incorporate role-playing elements, via character upgrades, which bring a whole new level of depth to the gameplay.

Personally I though that NASCAR 08 was very disappointing, so I hoped that E.A. would improve on it with NASCAR 09. Sadly, they haven’t – in fact, it’s almost as though they’ve taken the previous game and updated the roster.

One new addition is the "Chase For The NASCAR Sprint Cup" career mode, but it’s not enough to get a recommendation. Here’s hoping they get it right next year.

WH Smith have this PlayStation 3 title priced at £20.49 – click here for more details on this cheap games‘ availability.

I like the DS. I like it because the way it has been designed means that most games have a unique element about them – much like the Wii, in fact.

Doodle Hex is yet another title that takes advantage of this. Use speed, accuracy and tactics as you draw runes in order to make spellbook combinations. Over 250 challenges totalling just over 100 hours of gameplay await you.

To join the part that is sales, The Hut reductions are minimal but worth looking at.

If you’re concerned about whether they’re reputable, worry not – they also run Asda’s entertainment site.

UPDATE: The 3rd of August saw some more games added – the DS titles and No More Heroes look particularly good.

Great, more money on games that will never get completed!

Call Of Duty 3 £17.99

Wii

Sega Bass Fishing £9.99

XBox 360

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga £17.99

Prey £4.99

There’s many, many first-person shooter titles available on the XBox 360. Prey was one of the first on the console, but is often overlooked by most people – wrongly, if you ask me.

A deep and emotional story is combined with some very good graphics to great effect. Add in some of the most detailed weapons you’ll probably see anywhere, and you have one heck of a good game.

SoftUK are selling this title for £4.99 until Monday the 4th of August – for more information, click here.

Half-Life 2: The Orange Box is excellent value no matter the price, simply down to the fact that you get five games in it. The titles are Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal, and Team Fortress 2.

Out of this little lot the stand-out has to be Portal. It’s innovative and challenging, whilst remaining accessible to even the newest of gamers – truly fantastic stuff.

Pop in to your local Tesco and you should be able to pick up the XBox 360 version for £19.99.
