Band Hero: Band Kit From £119.99

Band Hero is a spin-off from the Guitar Hero series, and is structured similarly to Guitar Hero 5 with the drop-in/drop-out and in-song instrument and difficulty change menus, plus additional new multiplayer modes. As this has been designed for a more mainstream audience, the songs are from more family-friendly artists (although Poison make an appearance with "Every Rose Has Its Thorn").

The Band Hero: Band Kit comes with everything you need to get started, plus a copy of the game itself. Contained inside the box is a guitar controller, a drum kit, and a microphone – all you'll want now is two friends/family members who agree to embarrass themselves!

If you fancy the PlayStation 2 version, click here to buy it for £119.99 from Play.com. PlayStation 3 (click here) and XBox 360 (click here) owners can buy their releases for £120 from Tesco.

LittleBigPlanet £12.99

The PSP version of LittleBigPlanet is the portable counterpart to the PlayStation 3 game of the same name, and is every bit as good as its console cousin – pretty much everything is available in both, right down to the Stephen Fry narration parts.

Sadly the multiplayer feature has not made the transition across, but the creation an sharing of levels is still available. Graphics are very good as well, which helps to make this one of the must-have titles on the handheld system.

If you fancy this game, click here to buy it for £12.99 from HMV.

Every year means new updates of all your favourite sports games, with the most eagerly anticipated being FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer. FIFA 10 has the head start, but to be honest Konami will have to pull something fantastic out of the bag to beat this – it's better than ever (and FIFA 09 was brilliant).

As well as full roster and kit updates, the manager mode has been improved greatly – an authentic transfer system and other features making it a heck of a lot more enjoyable than previous outings. 50 stadiums can be played in now as well, plus the "Virtual Pro" mode expands upon "Be A Pro" from FIFA 09.

To get the PlayStation 2 release for £14.99 from Amazon, simply click here. Wii owners can click here to get their version for £22.85 from ShopTo, whilst both the XBox 360 (click here) and PlayStation 3 (click here) releases are £22.99 each over at Tesco.

Although there's only a short amount of time to use it in, I thought I'd let you know that there's a 5% LOVEFiLM discount available.

Buy something and enter the code PAYDAY at the checkout to get your saving – but be sure to use it before the midnight tonight (Sunday the 6th of December).

NBA 2K10 £19.95

NBA 2K10 is the latest in the long-running basketball series, with a range of new features introduced in order to celebrate its tenth anniversary – which in itself is quite the accomplishment, especially when you consider that E.A. Sports had a bit of a head start with their NBA Live titles.

There's actually so many new introductions that it would take me ages to list them all, but the highlights have to be the easy-to-use dribbling and post game controls, new signature plays, the "My Player" mode (similar to "Be A Pro in FIFA) and an improved create-a-player mode.

Click here to get this XBox 360 title for £19.95 from ShopTo. Remember to use the ShopTo £1 voucher in order to get an extra saving on this too…

There's a new Game £2 off a £20 spend code which has appeared today – whilst not as good as some of the discounts from the past, every little helps (as Tesco annoyingly remind everyone).

Simply enter VCBY2009 at the checkout to make your saving, but remember that pre-orders aren't included in this.

Click here to visit their website and see if any of their cheap games take your fancy. I'm sure you'll probably find one or two things from the Game Group sale to get money off on.

Grand Slam Tennis (With Wii MotionPlus) £24.89

Grand Slam Tennis was the first title in Europe to be bundle with the Wii MotionPlus accessory, fact fans. Sometimes (see Wii Play) this can be a bad thing, but thankfully this game is probably the best tennis simulation to appear on the console thus far – not including the Wii Sports bit, of course!

23 players are available to control, of which 11 are retired legends (like Pete Sampras and Martina Navratilova) and 12 are current (like Andy Murray and Serena Williams). All four Grand Slam venues can be played in too, with Wimbledon being licensed for the first time since Top Spin 2.

Simply Games have Grand Slam Tennis, with the Wii MotionPlus accessory, available for £24.89 – for more information, click here.

WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2010 From £16.85

WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2010 is the eleventh entry in the WWE Smackdown series, and is named after two of the professional wrestling promotion's three brands – although it should be noted that ECW performers are included too (they just get shoved to the bottom of the cover art!).

Lots of new features have been added this year, with the most interesting probably being the story designer mode where you can design storylines using a variety of preset options. Two new exciting match stipulations, in the form of Championship Scramble and mixed tag team, also look like worthy newcomers.

Click here to get the DS version for £16.85 from ShopTo. Zavvi have the PlayStation 3 (click here), XBox 360 (click here) and Wii (click here) releases for £17.95 each.

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box £9.99

In a move that I really wish more developers would consider, Burnout Paradise has been updated on a fairly regular basis since its original release in 2008. Not only have some glitches been fixed, but Criterion Games have also added bikes as vehicles to race on.

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box contains the game along with nearly all of the free expansions and patches. You also get the "Party Pack" premium downloadable content stuff, which has a range of new single-console multiplayer modes that up to eight players can take part in.

Click here to buy this PlayStation 3 game for £9.99 from Gamestation. Definitely one of the best racing cheap games around, with lots to keep you coming back for more.

Tropico 3 £17.89

Tropico 3 marks the very first time that the construction and management simulation series has appeared on any other system than a PC – which just goes to show that the differences between consoles and home computers must be getting smaller by the second.

Ruling as "El Presidente", you must decide the complete outlook for your new country – from whether it should become a tropical paradise, to preparing your people for crisis with Cuba (think of it like a Cold War version of Sim City).

Simply Games have this XBox 360 title available for £17.89 – for more information, click here.
