Wimbledon may be over for another year, but to tide you over until then you could do worse than consider getting Sega Superstars Tennis. Not as good as the real thing, although I’d personally take Sonic over Murray any day!

Not only can you play as your favourite Sega characters, there’s also the inclusion of some very recognisable arenas in which to play your games. The music might ring a bell as well.

Lost: The Video Game £4.99

Lost: The Video Game is based on Lost the TV series, surprisingly enough. In it you’ll encounter many of your favourite characters from the show, as well as some of the best moments from the series’ so far.

It’s not a great title by any means, as it’s not very long (total gameplay time amounts to about six hours) and is a bit too easy.

However now that you can get either the XBox 360 or PlayStation 3 versions for £4.99 from Comet, it’s well worth considering.

If you fancy the 360 release, click here to get it – you can’t order the PS3 one online, but you can get it instore (actually, you can get both instore).

Sonic Rivals 2 is a PSP exclusive that expands upon the original 2D action-platformer by including all-new "jostling" controls for tighter competition, and a brand new battle mode that allows two players to jump into six different multiplayer challenges.

Extra playable characters (including Tails!), 12 new stages, and upgraded signature moves bring a whole new level of fun to the PSP.

Genji: Days Of The Blade is based on the PS2 title Genji, and is set three years after the events of that game. Sadly this PlayStation 3 game suffers from being one of the first on the system – impressive graphics, but a distinct lack of gameplay value let it down badly.

It’s your typical "hack and slash" type game, with many enemies to defeat. However, some shoddy camera-work can at times leave you a bit peeved off! It is cheap though…

Comet have this title priced at just £4.99 – click here for more details (and use the "Collect from store" delivery option to save on postage). Not one of those cheap games that I can recommend, I’m afraid.

I’ve always enjoyed the 2D versions of Castlevania, but the 3D titles have been quite disappointing. It’s good news then that Castlevania: Portrait Of Ruin goes back to what the series does best – scrolling 2D fun-time action!

You can control two different characters (vampire hunter Jonathan Morris and Charlotte Orlean, a young girl with magical abilities) who must thwart the attempts to rebuild Dracula’s castle and unleash a reign of evil upon an unsuspecting world.

Dark Sector £17.92

There’s a fair few first-person shooters around, many of which are extremely average. Dark Sector is another one of these average games – even though it does have a somewhat interesting story.

Hayden Tenno has been sent on an assassination trip (sounds like fun), but is attacked by some unseen enemy. He awakens to find that he has inhuman powers – now he must evolve with these abilities and become a hero.

UPDATE: Some PlayStation 2 titles were added on the 2nd of July.

On the 8th of July a whole ton of new games appeared – I must admit that the Wii games for £9.99 each are great value.

Some notable titles appeared on the 10th of July. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Army Of Two are among them.

The 12th of July saw some more games added. UEFA Euro 2008 has started being reduced, I see. Not surprising really.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots £29.92

One of the best gaming series’, in my opinion anyway, has been the Metal Gear series. Great stories combined with some great gameplay equals great games – great!

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots is allegedly the last time we will see Solid Snake, but what a final game to appear in! The single player campaign has a gripping storyline, and the new addition of Metal Gear Online (which will have updates throughout the year) is brilliant.
