Bee Movie Game £10.99

As Bee Movie was written by and stars Jerry Seinfeld you’d be quite right to expect that it’s rather funny – even though it is aimed at kids. Sadly, Bee Movie Game is quite terrible.

Kids may enjoy this as it’s not too difficult, but older players will quite rightly find the game annoying and slow. The search for the perfect movie tie-in continues…

The Asda clearance continues (it did start out as an Asda mini sale, but it’s got bigger!) with some excellent new reductions.

I’ve highlighted the best on offer for your convenience – I’m nice like that.

PS2

Ape Escape 3 £9.93
The Shield £5.73

PS3

Cars: Mater-National £15.93
Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights £12.93

PSP

Capcom Classics Collection: Reloaded £8.93
PoPoLoCrois £7.93

XBox 360

Championship Manager 2007 £8.93
Dynasty Warriors 6 £17.93

Wii

Ben 10: Protector Of Earth £14.43
MX Vs ATV: Untamed £17.93
Namco Museum Remix £15.93
SpongeBob’s Atlantis Squarepantis £17.83

Saints Row £9.95

There’s a fair few games that try to be like the Grand Theft Auto series (e.g. Just Cause), and Saints Row is yet another to add to the pile. It’s an open-world game where you can pretty much do what you like, all the while listening to a pumping soundtrack.

It has got an alright online multiplayer mode I suppose, although if you’ve got Grand Theft Auto IV I doubt it would be any more exciting than it is – it’s also one of those cheap games you might like to get if you’re interested in achievement points.

I will say, however, that the price is excellent – click here to buy this XBox 360 game for £9.95 from The Game Collection.

Army Of Two From £19.96

In most games with the option, you can choose whether to play a solo mission or a two-player variation – in Army Of Two you have no choice but to work with a partner. I’d highly suggest getting a friend to play, as the computer is fairly crap.

If it’s not enough for you to defeat a whole heap of baddies, take it online and battle against other teams of players from all over the world via the wireless network.

MotorStorm £11.99

The PlayStation 3 has been out for just over a year now, but MotorStorm still stands tall as one of the best racing games available for the console. It’s probably a lot to do with the excitement of the online multiplayer mode, I imagine.

An offroad racing title with a difference, this has fully destructible vehicles and environments, stunning scenery and real-time track deformation. This means that you can not only defeat your opponents, but blow them up as well – nice!

Grainger Games have this game available for £11.99 delivered – for more information, click here.

When you discover that the world is under the greatest threat that it’s ever known, it’s your job to convince everyone that the threat is real. To do this you have to travel across the universe – which inevitably means that you’ll be encountering some nasty bastards along the way.

There’s a very good storyline in Mass Effect, which keeps the plot ticking along nicely. Strange that should be seen as a good point, but sadly most games are thrown together with little thought for a story that makes sense.

New Colour Nintendo DS Lites £95

There’s your three new colour Nintendo DS Lites – green, red and turquoise. I have to say that I like the look of the red one, tis very snazzy indeed.

The DS Lite is a step up from the older chunky DS, in that this time you can actually fit it in your pocket. You also have a brighter display screen and a much easier button configuration, which make for less stress on your poor fingers!

Instore at Asda you can pick up either of these for £95.

Ever wanted to play such classic games as Road Rash, Desert Strike, Syndicate and Mutant League Football again but didn’t know how? Well, I’d suggest getting E.A. Replay then as it contains all of them.

For your money you’re getting 14 different games from the Electronic Arts vault, and every single one of them is an absolute belter – in fact, it’s even better than Namco Museum Remix.

If you fancy this PSP title, click here to get it for only £4.99 from Choices UK.

WarTech: Senko No Ronde £9.99

WarTech: Senko No Ronde thrusts you into the future where us humans have colonised new galaxies and Earth has become a planet mined for its natural resources. I imagine it’s probably set in the year 2056 or something – and I can also bet that it won’t come true (heck, we should all have flying cars and robot butlers by now!).

This mixes elements of beat-em-ups and shoot-em-ups to make some sort of new gaming genre, which I’ll call shat-em-up. Additionally, you can battle somebody else anywhere in the world via XBox Live. Lucky you.

Bioshock £11.93

Bioshock is a living, unique and unpredictable gaming experience like no other on the XBox 360. The fact that it’s set underwater may seem a little bit strange, but once you’ve started playing it all makes more sense – thank goodness.

It just so happens to be one of the best titles available for the console as well, probably because of its uniqueness. Either that or the expensive advertising campaign that was launched before th game came out!

Asda are selling this title for £11.93 – click here for more details.

Incidentally, you may be able to get Bioshock for £10 instore at Currys, but it may be limited to certain stores (i.e. stock is low).
