I’m pretty sure that the SingStar games were designed to make people (read, men who can’t sing) look like complete idiots. Not to say that it isn’t fun, just that it makes you look rather foolish.

SingStar: Anthems contains 20 new tracks to sing along to, with hits from such artists as: Girls Aloud, Queen, Charlotte Church, Bananarama, Cher, The Pussycat Dolls, and others.

The Grand Theft Auto series has been a huge success over the years, and the latest installment is very probably the best so far. Grand Theft Auto IV was hyped to the hill, but it turns out the hype was entirely justified.

With a much more interactive city than ever before, and a great online multiplayer mode, killing prostitutes and innocent bystanders has never been so much fun – The Simpsons Game, this ain’t!

Puzzle games are plentiful on the DS, so here’s another one to tickle your fancy – Puyo Pop Fever. Throw as many chains together as possible to crush your opponents, much like you would in Tetris – or Monster Bomber, or Puzzle Kombat (which can be found on Ultimate Mortal Kombat) for that matter.

You can play up to seven other people from the one cartridge, which is nice. It’s a pity that there’s no wireless network play, but we can’t have everything I suppose.

Peter Jackson’s King Kong was an alright film, even if the original was better (as is usually the case). The game is a very faithful interpretation of the movie and lets you go a bit deeper into certain parts of the story.

Even if it is a little bit on the easy side (think Lost: The Video Game easy), it just makes it more accessable to gamers of all ages. The voicework is good as well, if that’s something that interests you.

Bioshock is quite simply one of the best games available for the XBox 360 console. It goes far beyond the shooting games we’ve been seeing recently to create a living, unique and unpredictable first person shooting experience.

Genetically modify your body to get fantastic (and sometimes disgusting) new abilities as you battle on towards deciding whether to expolit the survivors you stumble across, or to save them.

Even though NBA 2K7 is a little bit out-of-date it’s still one of the best basketball games on the PS3 – which isn’t that difficult, as there’s not a lot to choose from! It”s right up there with NBA Live 08, I’d say.

With the ability to compete with other players all over the world via the wireless network and expanded player support for up to 10 players, this is fantastic value.

Race Driver: Grid has only been out a short time, but it’s already being touted as a Gran Turismo-beater. I have to admit it does look stunning from the footage I’ve seen of the game.

Racing across Europe, the US and Japan has never looked as good as this – it really makes you wonder how good games will look in the future.
