The Bourne Conspiracy £6.99

If you enjoyed the Bourne films, or even the books that they were based on, then chances are you’ll get more out of The Bourne Conspiracy than anyone else. It’s good, but not good enough to challenge the likes of Call Of Duty in the ranks of excellence.

The action-packed original missions and sequences are inspired by The Bourne Identity, and allow you to go deeper into the Bourne mythos than ever before. The story and combat system are both brilliant, but it’s let down by being incredibly short and having bad camera angles at times.

Grand Theft Auto IV £19.49

For anyone who’s been living under a rock, Grand Theft Auto IV is the latest and greatest title in the long-running Grand Theft Auto series. Controversy surrounds every release, but this had even more because of the similarities between the city in the game and the real-life New York City – excessive violence and prostitution probably didn’t help either.

There’s more to do than ever before, with lots of little side-games (like bowling, or seeing Ricky Gervais perform stand-up) and missions. However, where this beats every other title in the series is with the online multiplayer mode – nothing better than hacking up a friend with a chainsaw, if you ask me.

Amazon are selling both the PlayStation 3 (click here) and XBox 360 (click here) versions for £19.49 each.

Younger gamers will love the Build-A-Bear Workshop game, as it allows them to customise a furry friend of their own that can then be used in a variety of different ways. Six bears are available, along with changeable clothes, accessories, and shoes.

Not only is there a range of different single player modes (which include some tasks that teach children how to cook, get changed, etc.), but there’s also a multiplayer option as well – four mini-games can be played against others, and these are cooking, musical chairs, catching honey, and dancing.

I Did It Mum! 2 (Boy) £7.99

I Did It Mum! 2 (Boy) contains a series of simple games that have been specifically designed to stimulate learning in very young children – as this is the boy version, I’m sure you can imagine that it’s aimed squarely at humans of the male variety.

18 different mini-games are included, with five of them exclusive to this version. The title itself allows parents to join in the fun as well, teaching numbers, letters and shapes in a unique way.

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is the third Metal Gear title to appear on the PSP and the first to retain the series’ action-based gameplay. Set in 1970s South America, six years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, the game follows the exploits of Naked Snake after his former unit, FOX, goes renegade.

Silent Hill: Origins is a prequel that delves into the backstory to the eponymous town where the game is played out, and follows truck driver Travis Grady who finds himself becoming involved in the events of Silent Hill when he rescues a young girl from a burning house – investigating the mystery behind her fate, he uncovers some long-forgotten truths about his own childhood…

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (With Wireless Guitar) £29.99

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is the first band-themed Guitar Hero game to appear on the market, with the next one scheduled for release later this year – and it will be Guitar Hero: Metallica. That should be excellent, just so long as they include some older stuff and quietly skip past St Anger.

The soundtrack in the game consists of a total of 41 songs, with 29 coming from the group and the remaining 12 from bands that they have played with in that past or that have inspired them. Just don’t expect "I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing", OK?!?

Need For Speed: Undercover From £5.55

Whilst many reviewers like to give the Need For Speed series a bit of a hard time, I always try to have an open mind about everything – thus, in my opinion anyway, Need For Speed: Undercover is nowhere near as bad as you may have been led to believe.

A great selection of cars to choose from, along with much tighter handling than in previous entries, make this well worth considering. It’s also quite a bit easier than before, so newcomers won’t feel as though they will have needed any experience.

CD-WOW have the XBox 360 version available for only £5.55 (which looks suspiciously like it might be a misprice) – for more information, click here. DS owners can click here to get their release for £17.99 from ShopTo.

Although there’s sadly no way to compete with other players around the world via the wireless network, Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games is still a very enjoyable title either alone or with friends (single-card and multi-card gameplay options are available).

Alongside the standard athletics, gymnastics, shooting, archery, rowing, aquatics, fencing, and table tennis events, there are also alternative versions called "Dream Events" – these allow you to use special abilities in order to defeat opponents, as opposed to the expected manner of winning through sheer effort.
