If you’re a fan of hack and slash games like Viking: Battle For Asgard, then Beowulf: The Game may be right up your street. I should probably warn you that it’s incredibly average, but as it’s based on an average film then this shouldn’t really be surprising.
This lets you play through 30 years of Beowulf’s life not seen in the movie and the music is pretty good as well. Apart from this, as I said before, it’s very average.
Click here to buy this PlayStation 3 title for £8.08 (as long as you spend £15 or more, otherwise it’s £10.07) from Amazon.
Earlier on today we featured a range of XBox 360 Elite deals at Game, but here’s another one that may sway your decision towards getting one. How’s about three games for free?
Now would be a good time to get an XBox 360, as there’s some big games on the horizon. Fable II in particular looks great, although I’m sure that Too Human and Gears Of War 2 will be equally as good.
Anyway, back to the item at hand.
Gamestation are running an offer where you can choose three games (from a selection of Dead Or Alive 4, Halo 3, Lost Odyssey or Project Gotham Racing 4) to go along with your XBox 360 Elite for the princely sum of £259.99 - click here for more details.

Mario Kart Wii (with the Wii Wheel accessory) is actually the sixth in the long-running series of racing games, and the first on the Wii. The Wii Wheel is basically a glorified holder for your Wii Remote, by the way.
For the first time you can choose to ride on motorbikes, instead of being restricted to the standard karts, and can compete with up to 11 other players online. A total of 26 different characters and 32 tracks means you should be playing this for some time to come.
Pop in to your local Tesco and pick this up for £27.71. In fact, if you buy tomorrow’s News Of The World there’s a £5 off when you spend £30 voucher in it - which means you could get the game for even less.
Even though the 1989 arcade game of the same name is much better, TMNT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has still managed to sell just over a million copies. Proof positive that people will buy any old tat, I think you’ll agree.
This is based on the 2007 CGI movie TMNT (which was fairly average), and is a fairly run-of-the-mill platform title. Kids may get some enjoyment out of it however, as well as Turtles fans.
Click here to get the PSP version for just £1.99 from Sendit.com, click here to buy the PlayStation 2 release for £4.93, or click here to get the Wii version for £11.93 - the latter two both being from Asda.
Phew, that’s a lot of cheap games!
Viking: Battle For Asgard is a very simple game to pick and play, as it’s a hack and slash type affair. These means exactly what it says, as you merely have to hack and slash away at any enemies.
The story is based on genuine Nordic Mythology, which makes for an interesting (and engaging) experience. It can get a little repetitive though, so is probably best played in small sessions.
Click here to buy the XBox 360 version of this game for £17.85 from Blah DVD. PlayStation 3 owners interested in Viking: Battle For Asgard may like to know that it can also be bought for the reasonable price of £17.99 from Gameplay.

3D fighting games such as Rampage and Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee are obvious influences upon the makers of War Of The Monsters. This is ever so slightly better than both of them though.
The aftermath of an alien invasion of Earth has spawned giant monsters that battle it out across city environments, as you do. The game looks a bit like one of the old monster movies and homages are made to these, including characters that resemble Godzilla and King Kong.
If you fancy this PS2 title, click here to get it for £6.99 from SoftUK.
The World Series Of Poker: Tournament Of Champions game is based on the popular gambling tournament World Series Of Poker. This is obviously much cheaper than the real-life equivalent!
If you already like poker then this a bit of a no-brainer, but if you don’t even know how to play it (which I must confess that I don’t, for shame) then you may choose to give it a miss.

Hannah Montana: Spotlight World Tour is a Wii game based on the TV show Hannah Montana (surprising that) - using the Wii Remote and Wii Nunchuk to control her dance moves makes you look like a total loon, so best leave the kids to it.
There’s 16 songs to dance along to, with eight coming from the first season and the remaining eight coming from the second season.
HMV are selling this title for £14.99 - for more information, click here.
