Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures From £9.85

Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures is perhaps the most fun game you'll ever play with a friend, especially if you happen to be a fan of either the first three Indiana Jones films or Lego in general.

All of the iconic moments are recreated in typically silly fashion, albeit toned down slightly to become more family-friendly. All 83 regular characters have their own unique abilities, which must be used in order to complete the 18 different levels (6 chapters per movie).

Rock Band From £6.85

Rock Band took the brilliance of the Guitar Hero series and turned the notch up to 11, with drums and vocals thrown in with the trusty old guitar. Although Guitar Hero games now do the same thing, it was Rock Band that started off the move towards complete band interaction through the use of plastic instruments.

A core of 58 playable tracks are included on the disc, with 51 of them being master recordings. PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 owners also have the ability to download a shedload of additional songs, either on an individual tracks basis or as packs and albums.

If you fancy the PlayStation 2 version, click here to buy it for £6.85 from ShopTo. The same retailer also has both the Wii (click here) and XBox 360 (click here) releases at £9.85 each.

Using many of the features from Soul Calibur IV, Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny also introduces two new characters into the mix – Dampierre and some chap called Kratos who's been known to appear in some God of War games (no, never head of them either).

26 other characters are also available to choose from, plus a further 16 can be created (in a cut down version of the same mode from Soul Calibur IV). Five game modes are included to fight in, with multiplayer an option as well, although sadly without online play.

It's quite rare that a game appeals to both the younger and older gamer, but Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction does exactly this. With the power of the PlayStation 3 behind it, this is the best Ratchet and Clank game yet.

This time out our two friends must go on a galactic adventure to unravel the mystery of Ratchet's origin. Along the way you'll meet new characters, try out new weapons and explore brand-new worlds.

Little Big Planet has been praised so much that you would think people were being paid to gush so much, but the reality is it's genuinely one of the most innovative and fun games to have been released on any console in quite some time. Even the BBC seem to like it, and they don't like anything halfway decent!

Not content with looking absolutely stunning in high definition, this is both challenging and silly at the same time. Controlling small avatars through a variety of platforming scenarios is good enough, until you realise how much more there is to this – from the ability to create huge new levels yourself, to trying out someone else's via the online sharing capabilities.

Call of Duty: World at War £12.85

If you enjoyed (or are still enjoying) the Wii release of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, then you'll be glad to hear that Call of Duty: World at War is equally as good. The story in this one focuses on the final battles of World War II from the perspectives of a Marine Raider and a Red Army soldier, with several historic battles taking place.

As you'd expect, the online multiplayer mode is where this really excels. This time round there's a new addition too, in the form of a co-op mode – this can support up to four online players and two offline.

Serving as a direct sequel to both the classic NES game and its enhanced remake Bionic Commando: Rearmed, the 2009 version of Bionic Commando looks fantastic and at times is quite unpredictable – something which will definitely keep you coming back for more.

As well as a gripping single-player campaign, you can take the battle online and duel it out with up to nine other players from around the world in such classic staples as "Deathmatch" and "Capture The Flag".

Street Fighter IV is the first numbered Street Fighter game since "Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike – Fight For The Future" came out in the arcades in 1999. Although the models and backgrounds are rendered in 3D, thankfully the game remains on a traditional 2D plane.

The Street Fighter IV: Collector's Edition box contains a copy of the game, a comic-book style mini strategy guide, a bonus disc (which includes the animated short Street Fighter IV: The Ties That Bind and some trailers), Crimson Ryper and Ryu figurines, and five downloadable character costumes.
