Rock Band Portable Drum Kit £12.95

While the big set of drums that you get with the proper Rock Band: Band In A Box collection look very good, they do take up rather a lot of space – which means that the introduction of an unofficial Rock Band Portable Drum Kit is something that will be greatly anticipated by those of us who need the room back!

This has been designed for use on any flat surface, and chances are apparently quite high that this will also work on the Guitar Hero games that support the drum controller – good news all round then.

The Sendit.com Wild Wednesday video game sale is now on, and will apparently be a regular weekly event permanently – much like Zavvi do on a Monday.

Nice to hear, especially with the dreaded "recession" still looming large…

XBox 360

The Legend Of Spyro: Dawn Of The Dragon £12.89

UPDATE: This offer is even more pathetic this week – one game!

Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath £6.95

The XBox 360 version of Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath features an exclusive "Kane's Challenge" mode not found on the PC release. Here you choose one faction to control and are pitted against all others across ten challenges.

By the way, it's a real-time strategy game that's basically an expansion to Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars – in fact the PC version is just that, an expansion pack.

Sid Meier's Civilization: Revolution may be a more streamlined and simplified version than past installments in the Civilization series, but this isn't a negative thing at all – in fact, I'm sure more people will pick up and play this because it's easier to play (three hours per game is much better to fit in than ten!).

If there is one fault to be found with this, it's that the multiplayer mode is rather on the slow side. However, the option to turn on a turn timer to attempt to make the game go faster should help with this small problem.

The original Half-Life was easily one of the best PC games of all time, and now the sequel is here with Half-Life 2: The Orange Box. This marks the very first time that the series has appeared on a Sony console too, which is nice.

It's well worth picking this title up, by the way, as you're getting five games in one. Not only are there Half-Life 2 and two expansion packs, but one of the best games of 2007 in Portal. Also included is team-based multiplayer Team Fortress 2.

Click here to buy this PlayStation 3 title for £9.93 from The Hut.

Instead of the normal £3 off when spending £30, a Game £5 off a £50 spend voucher has appeared instead.

I suppose in the run up to Christmas it's easy to spend that amount, but I personally preferred the lower one.

Nintendo Wii (With Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Motion Plus And Two Games) £164.99

After the U.S. received a price-cut, speculation was high that we too would be in line for a cheaper Wii (steady!). Sadly, we didn't – instead the standard pack was improved to include Wii Sports Resort and the Motion Plus accessory, as well as Wii Sports like before. Much better if you ask me…

With Christmas getting ever closer, this Amazon deal looks very tempting. In exchange for £164.99 you get a Nintendo Wii with Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Motion Plus and two games – one of which must be either FIFA 10 or Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes, and any other from a choice of six.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed – Ultimate Sith Edition £19.99

In something that's becoming a regular occurrence, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is being re-released with all of the downloadable content that has been made available thus far (plus some brand new stuff) as Star Wars: The Force Unleashed – Ultimate Sith Edition.

Although critics have been divided over whether to recommend this or not, I say screw them – it's actually one of the best Star Wars games in quite some time, with a gripping storyline and some wonderfully innovative fighting elements.

Click here to pre-order the XBox 360 release, or click here for the PlayStation 3 version – both of which are £19.99 each at CoolShop.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn £14.51

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is the tenth title in the Fire Emblem series and the first to appear on the Wii. Like other entries, it's a deep tactical strategy title which boasts role-playing elements – with added features such as new unit classes and an elevation advantage between battling characters.

Interestingly, you command your troops either by using the Wii Remote like a NES controller, or by using the Classic Controller. I personally prefer the Wii Remote, but those more accustomed to normal controllers will probably be better off using the Classic Controller.

Amazon are selling this game for £14.51 – click here for more details.
