Jumper From £11.99

I wonder if there will ever be a really decent game based on a film (I’m discounting The Godfather as it came out ages after the film did!)?

Jumper is another mediocre attempt at bridging the divide between the two mediums – to put it mildly, it stinks.

Click here to get the PlayStation 2 version for £11.99, click here for the Wii release (which is £14.99) or click here for the XBox 360 one which is £16.99 – all are from HMV, who clearly want to get rid of it (and who can blame them).

Players must overcome Professor Calamitous’ large army of evil toys (based on the Nicktoons Heroes) in this fast-paced action platform game. Look out for the biggest choice of playable Nickelodeon characters from the hottest television shows including SpongeBob SquarePants, Danny Phantom and The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius.

Wii Console (With Wii Sports) £169.99

The Wii has been an amazing success since it was released a couple of years ago – in fact, I often wonder whether Nintendo even predicted it would be this popular.

The fact that you get a fairly simplistic, but decent, game thrown in for free is a fantastic bonus.

ShopTo have the Wii Console (With Wii Sports) available for £169.99 – for more details, click here.

Sega Superstars Tennis lets you play tennis with various characters from the Sega universe on courts based around famous gaming arenas.

It’s quite reminiscent of Mario Tennis, but I’m not for one second insinuating that Sega copied Nintendo.

Click here to buy the Wii version for £17.99 from DVD.co.uk, or get the PlayStation 3 (click here) or XBox 360 (click here) releases for £22.99 each from Zavvi.

The very first game in the Guitar Hero series has a good selection of songs to play along to – from David Bowie through to Ozzy Osbourne, and eveything in between.

I’d recommend picking this up while it’s in stock, as not many places have copies left.

Lead the charge as men battle Gods in order to save the planet. Or something similar.

Win $10,000 by defeating some of the best players in the world in World Series Of Poker 2008: Battle For The Bracelets on the PlayStation 3.

Unfortunately it’s not real money, but at least you won’t end up losing your car or something (you can tell I never play poker).

ShopTo have reduced the price of this game to £12.98 – click here for more information.

There’s been some very bad Simpsons games over the years, but The Simpsons Game comes close to being almost perfect.
