The Darkness is a first-person shooter based on the comic book of the same name, although some changes have been made to the story – for the better, I might add.

In it you control Jackie Estacado, who has been possessed by a spirit that gives him supernatural powers which feed off the dark – giving him the useful ability of being able to cheat death.

Scene It? Box Office Smash is the second entry in the video game series based on the popular video board game. A whole host of brand new questions, movie puzzles, and high-definition content from some of Hollywood’s latest blockbusters make this great fun – especially when you have friends round.

One of the very best puzzle titles available for the Wii has to be Mercury Meltdown Revolution. Using the morion sensor Wii Remote to manipulate the environment in order to move a blob of mercury to its goal sounds fairly mundane – thankfully, it’s brilliant (and addictive!) fun.

Accessible for both skilled and unskilled players, over 150 challenging levels mean that you won’t get bored of this easily. It’s also worth pointing out that if you struggle with the Wii Remote, the Classic Controller is fully supported as well.

With a plot following the one in the film very closely, Wall-E is a game that is sure to appeal to kids everywhere – although it has to be said that it’s by no means the easiest title in the world, as some of it is quite tricky (even for more experienced gamers).

This PlayStation 3 release comes with nine worlds to explore and also includes a co-op mode, where both Wall-E and EVE are playable characters. Also of interest is that fact that their are some new storylines to enjoy, which might help fill in one or two blanks from the movie.

Beautiful Katamari is the fourth entry in the Katamari series, and is the first not to appear on a Sony console. It was originally scheduled to appear on the PlayStation 3, but development was abandoned due to porting problems and stalled system sales (at the time).

If you’ve never played this before, you control a "katamari" to collect bigger objects which in turn allows you to grow in size even more. To advance through levels, specific items need to be gathered – for example, to make the planet Mercury, you need to collect liquids.
