There’s a big HMV sale on at the moment - they have one roughly every six months, so the next big one will be in December or Januray. Probably.
I’ve gone through the many on offer and highlighted the best deals, as I’m nice like that. However, I may miss some bargains so click here to take a look at the full list.

I’d hate to be an assassin. There’s all the usual things you have to worry about like making sure you do your job properly and carrying out someone’s orders even if you disagree strongly with them - but you have the added pressure of having to kill someone. Which is never nice.
Anyway, Dark Sector sees you taking the role of Hayden Tenno who has been sent on a mission to get rid of someone in Lasria (in Eastern Europe). When he is attacked by an unseen enemy, our character awakens to find that he has inhuman powers - now he must evolve with these abilities to survive and become a hero.
To get the PS3 version click here, and to buy the XBox 360 release click here - both are £19.99 each at Game.

Top Spin 3 being available for a good price is quite apt, what with Wimbledon being on and everything. The fact that this is the Wii version is even better - it means you can look like a wally whilst playing it!
Sadly there’s no online multiplayer mode, but you can play as over 20 top-ranked players and compete in 11 challenging tournament events. There’s also the common site of a bunch of mini-games thrown in for good measure.

The Pro Evolution series has been leading the way for footy games for some time now. However, increased competition from FIFA means that we are now seriously spoilt for choice.
The main difference between PES 2008 (Pro Evolution Soccer) and FIFA 08 (which is still cheap, by the way) is that the FIFA goalies are still a bit easy to beat. There’s really that little in it!
Pop in to your local Tesco and you should be able to get the XBox 360 version of this game for £7.71.

I like the DS. I like the DS a lot - probably because it’s the first handheld I’ve ever owned (never been a big fan of them up until now). The variety of game on offer helps as well.
There’s many different colours available, so if you’re particularly fond of a certain colour you’ll more than likely be able to get a DS console which matches it.
Instore at Asda there’s a great deal running - get the Nintendo DS Lite (any colour) with copies of High School Musical: Makin’ The Cut and The Legend Of Spyro: The Eternal Night for £95. Fantastic!
Don King Presents: Prizefighter is not your normal boxing game - this is equal parts sports simulation and true boxing drama that takes place both inside and outside the ring.
As you progress through the career mode, a live-action documentary tells your story - something nothing before seen in a video game.
As well as this unique element, there’s a great online fighting mode. Take any of your customised characters and pit your wits against other fighters around the world to prove who the best pound-for-pound boxer really is.
Click here to get this XBox 360 title for £22.99 from ShopTo - Wii owners might like to know that their version of Don King Presents: Prizefighter is also available for a good price.

Okami was a big hit when it was released on the PlayStation 2 - with its simply stunning visuals and revolutionary design, along with an immersive gameplay experience, this is well worth getting.
Now its out on the Wii, this title gets its own unique control scheme. Use the Wii Remote much like you would use a paint brush or sword.
ShopTo are selling this game for £24.99 - for more information, click here.
Although Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots marks Solid Snake’s first appearance on the PlayStation 3, it looks like it will be his only one - any future Metal Gear titles will have a different lead (apparently).
This game sees the conclusion to one of the most epic series’ in gaming history, and is quite possibly the best of the whole lot. Additions like Metal Gear Online (which will get expansion packs throughout this year) only add to the greatness.
Click here to buy this title for £28.99 from ShopTo - one of those cheap games that’s easy to recommend, especially if you’re a fan of the previous Metal Gears.
