Top Spin 3

With 20 different world-class players to choose from, and 40 different venues to play on, Top Spin 3 is probably the best tennis title available at this moment.

The PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 versions feature a career mode and online multiplayer, but for some reason these have both been removed from the Wii release.

If you fancy the Wii version, click here to get it for £19.99 from ShopTo. Alternatively, click here for the PS3 release or click here for the XBox 360 version - these too are £19.99 at ShopTo. Cheap games like this are recommended for fans of the sport and people who like multiplayer fun, which I suppose is pretty much everybody.

Sid Meier's Civilization: Revolution

Civilizations has long been a franchise that has been predominantly a PC-only affair for some time, so the appearance of a specially designed console version called Sid Meier’s Civilization: Revolution is a welcome one.

This is a turn-based strategy game where you take control of one civilisation from a total of 16, and lead them through from prehistory all the way up to the near future. Also, gameplay has been simplified to make it easier for newcomers to get to grips with.

Click here to buy the PlayStation 3, or click here to get the XBox 360 release - both of which are £19.99 each over at ShopTo.

Final Fantasy XI Online: Wings Of The Goddess

I’ll warn you in advance that Final Fantasy XI Online: Wings Of The Goddess is an expansion pack that requires a copy of Final Fantasy XI Online before it will work. And that’s not the only thing you’ll need.

As it’s an online multiplayer game, you’ll need a subscription to the service as well - and this costs around £8 a month. All in all it could work out a bit costly, however if you’re already playing it then this pack seems a bit more worthwhile.

SoftUK are selling this XBox 360 title for £9.99 - for more information, click here.

The Microsoft XBox 360 Messenger Kit is used to communicate with other cheap games owners

The Microsoft XBox 360 Messenger Kit makes it about a billion times easier to type on your console, as it contains a chatpad that connect to your XBox 360 controller.

There’s also a headset included, which allows you to talk to other gamers whilst you’re playing. Quite whether you’d want to or not is another thing entirely.

Click here to get this for £8.97 from PC World.

This maybe a little too late for many to take advantage of, but there’s a 10% discount at the Hut valid between now and 12pm today (Friday the 19th of September).

Too Human

Even though it’s only been out for a couple of weeks, the price of Too Human is starting to come down very quickly - this isn’t a good sign, and to be honest with you it’s actually a disappointing title.

There was a delay of around nine years in this getting released, but the final product has a poor combat system and sub-standard boss battles. The graphics are good though, if that’s your sort of thing…

Click here to buy this XBox 360 exclusive for £19.99 from Game.

Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath

The XBox 360 version of Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath features an exclusive "Kane’s Challenge" mode not found on the PC release. Here you choose one faction to control and are pitted against all others across ten challenges.

By the way, it’s a real-time strategy game that’s basically an expansion to Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars - in fact the PC version is just that, an expansion pack.

Sendit.com have this available for £14.89 - click here for more details.

High School Musical DS Lite Bundle

If you’re a High School Musical fan and you don’t have a DS yet, then this High School Musical DS Lite bundle could be just the thing for you. I’m thinking girls will be more interested in this, but I could be wrong…

It contains a red DS Lite console, a High School Musical bag to carry your DS in, a High School Musical back pack, High School Musical 2 on DVD, and a copy of DS title High School Musical: Makin’ The Cut.

Pop in to Toys R Us and pick up this bundle for £129.99.

PES 2008 (Pro Evolution Soccer)

The Pro Evolution Soccer series has for a long time provided the best football games that money can buy. However with FIFA 08 E.A. have finally made some excellent improvements, meaning that at long last we actually have a choice of two very good titles.

PES 2008 (Pro Evolution Soccer) doesn’t actually have that many things different than the previous one, although the graphics are slightly improved and the controls feel a bit tighter.

Click here to get the DS version for £14.99 from SoftUK, or pop into your nearest HMV and buy the Wii release for £15. PlayStation 3 owners can get their version for £17.99 as part of the Game bargains at, erm, Game!

The House Of The Dead: 2 & 3 Return

There’s not many decent games that make use of the Wii Zapper, but The House Of The Dead: 2 & 3 Return is right up there as one of the best. Can you imagine anything better than blasting a zombie’s head off from close range? Exactly!

Not only do you get accurate arcade versions of the two titles, there’s also a new "extreme" mode which has tougher enemies and a smaller blast radius on the shotgun.

If you fancy this Wii game , click here to buy it for £11.89 from Sendit.com. Cheap games like this come recommended if you like arcade shooters, light gun games, or shooting the shit out of zombies.
