Logitech DriveFX Racing Steering Wheel £19.93

The Logitech DriveFX Racing Steering Wheel works with every XBox 360 driving game, and provides a realistic road feel with precise control. Gas and brake pedals, wheel-mounted paddle shifters, and an injection molded wheel with soft rubber grips add even more to your racing experience.

Standard 360 buttons ensure that you probably won’t even need to use a controller when you use this – however, I’d keep one handy just in case! All in all, a very useful accessory for any cheap games of the driving mentality that you have.

XBox 360 Wireless Network Adaptor £36.98

It’s quite often that we feature the XBox 360 Wireless Network Adaptor on this site, but more often than not it’s for around £50 – which isn’t all that bargainous, to be honest. So to see it for under £40 is something of a revelation (damn you Microsoft and your money-loving ways!).

It’s quite irritating that you need to get this dongle in order to have a wireless connection to the Internet actually, as seemingly every other console has it built-in – even the fecking DS has it, for God’s sake!

Madden NFL 09 comes with a whole host of new features, and certain console versions also come with their own unique features. For example, the PSP release has a new "Rookie" mode and comes with an updated "Superstar Challenge" mode as well.

New cameras, improved sidelines, improved graphics, user celebrations, and improved online leagues are just scratching the surface of what this year’s entry in the series has to offer.

Click here to get the PSP version for £8.73 from The Hut, or click here to buy the XBox 360 release for £9.73 from the same retailer. PlayStation 2 owners can click here to get their version for £9.91 from Asda, or DS gamers can click here to buy their release for £9.99 from Play.com.

Rounding things off, Sendit.com are selling the PS3 version (click here) for £14.89 and MyMemory have the Wii (click here) release available for £19.95.

There’s an Argos video game clearance on right now that’s worth taking a look at – prices start from just £2.99 as well, which is very reasonable indeed.

Remember to add on £4.95 for postage, unless you decide to choose the instore delivery option.

Star Ocean: First Departure £6.73

The very first Star Ocean game was never released outside of Japan, so the appearance of Star Ocean: First Departure was a welcome sight – it’s an updated version of it, with much improved graphics and some additional new features which make this well worth playing (even if you’ve somehow tried the original).

Pre-rendered backgrounds and 3D battle scenes are nice additions, but new playable characters, voice actors and dialogue add the most to the experience. Like I said, definitely worth a try even if you’ve mastered the title this is based on.

Guitar Hero: World Tour – Complete Band £99.99

Guitar Hero: World Tour is the fourth entry in the Guitar Hero series, and is the first to feature drum and microphone controllers for percussion and vocal parts – something which may seem very familiar if you’ve ever heard of a little game called Rock Band (no, me neither *snigger*).

A total of 86 songs are available to play along to, plus there are a ton more that can be bought as downloadable content (with even more added on a weekly basis). Definitely one of those cheap games that you won’t be getting bored of any time soon then!

If you fancy the XBox 360 release of the Guitar Hero: World Tour – Complete Band set, click here to buy it for £99.99 from HMV. This contains everything you can possibly need, with a copy of the game, drums, a guitar and a microphone included.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars £9.79

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is a DS exclusive title that has been built from the ground up to make full use of the unique abilities the handheld console has – which means doing stuff like whistling through the microphone to get a taxi.

Instead of a ground-level view or a classic top-down perspective, this game uses a fully rotatable aerial camera angled down at the action. Also, in a first for the series, this has cel-shaded graphics to produce a comic book-like aesthetic.

Simply Games are selling this title for £9.79 – click here for more details.

Tomb Raider: Underworld £7.73

XBox 360 owners should be happy to hear that their version of Tomb Raider: Underworld is going to get some exclusive downloadable content, in the form of a couple of extra levels. Damn Sony and their tightfisted ways!

This doesn’t mean to say that PS3 owners should ignore this at all, because it’s quite possibly the best outing for Lara Croft since the original. Great graphics and exploration potential, plus an easy control scheme, make this a joy from beginning to end.

Unreal Tournament III £7.73

Similar to the previous entries in the series, Unreal Tournament III is primarily an online multiplayer title offering several game modes, including large-scale Warfare, Capture-the-Flag, and Deathmatch. An extensive offline single-player game with an in-depth story is also to be found, advancing from the simple tournament ladder to such concepts as team members with their own individual personalities.

Sadly the XBox 360 version does not support user-generated mods, which is a disappointment when you consider that the PlayStation 3 release does. Apart from this minor drawback, it’s one of those excellent games that first-person shooter fans will enjoy a great deal.

WSC Real 08: World Snooker Championship (With Wii Cue) £7.73

WSC Real 08: World Snooker Championship includes all of the top players for you to control in all of the official tournaments, all the way from Shanghai to London. The dulcet tones of John Virgo, Steve Davis, and John Parrot are on hand to provide expert commentary on the action too, for that added bit of realism.

The Wii version of the game comes with an additional attachment which is supposed to make you feel as though you were really playing snooker. Sadly it’s not quite long enough to be 100% like the real thing – and it make you look like a prat as well!

Click here to buy WSC Real 08: World Snooker Championship, with a Wii Cue, for £7.73 from The Hut.
