Pursuit Force sees a time where rising crime and mounting gang tensions make Capital City’s streets a dangerous place. Meeting the hardened criminals with force is the job of a new type of cop working for the Pursuit Force team, an elite police division where the ends justify the means. Set across five districts controlled by violent criminals, Pursuit Force features more than 30 cases to crack in a non-stop festival of speed. The action takes place across an entire fictional American state, as the law gets tough on a new breed of gangs.

As a young, cocky and street tough cop, you are tasked with bringing to justice five of the State’s most infamous gangs, including ‘The Vixens’, a foxy group of ex-stunt girls who chose a life of crime to pay for their daring Hollywood lifestyles and outfits. Trained in martial arts, weapons design and death-defying stunts, The Vixens are hell-bent on living the high-life that Hollywood denied them. Led by ‘Whiplash’ and ‘The Fox’, the sexy Vixens are a deadly combination of strategy and style.

Assisted by the old-school, short-tempered Chief of the Pursuit Force who likes to play by the book, players find themselves immersed in an adrenaline fuelled, high speed chase across 400km of city streets, freeways and off-road tracks, in their battle to outsmart the bad guys and rid the state of crime.

Dead Head Fred £8.99

A unique 3rd person-action game created exclusively for the PSP, Dead Head Fred draws players into an original 1940′s inspired alternative universe where the bizarre blends with a slice of old time Americana, producing a morally bankrupt town ruled by violent organised crime and populated with mutants spawned from toxic waste.

You’ve seen all the controversy, you’ve read all the rubbish – now get the game!

Grand Theft Auto IV is probably the best title released so far this year, and it will take some doing to surpass it (trust me, this is great).

Click here to get the XBox 360 release for £39.99.

But wait! If you enter the voucher code dt7aquwhf you get £5 off, taking the price down to a reasonable £34.99.

Guitar Hero II features a brand-new and expanded track list, more venues and new play modes, and aims to rock longer and harder than its predecessor. RedOctane has once again teamed up with veteran music game developer Harmonix for the sequel, and is using famed recording studio WaveGroup for its music production, who also recorded the covers for the licensed tracks in the original Guitar Hero. The XBox 360 version also adds 10 new songs, downloadable content features, leaderboards and online features, plus support for the Guitar Hero X-Plorer guitar controller.

Play.com have this title priced at £24.99 – for more information, click here.

Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock features brand new tracks to play along to – including songs from such artists as Metallica, The Sex Pistols and Guns N’ Roses.

If you’ve yet to experience Guitar Hero you’ve been missing out, as it’s one of those games that has you hooked from the off.

Unfortunately, neither version comes with the guitar accessory (although I strongly suggest that you get one, as it makes the game so much better!).

New Zealand Story: Revolution is an accurate re-telling of the timeless 1988 original. Starring Tiki, a plucky Kiwi bird, the gameplay revolves around him rescuing his kidnapped friends from the clutches of a nefarious leopard seal. The setting for each of the game’s levels remains untouched although the layouts have been remixed and re-jigged to provide fresh challenges. Graphically, the game benefits from an overhaul that updates New Zealand Story’s visuals whilst retaining the clean lines of its arcade ancestor.

Beautiful Katamari £17.99

Beautiful Katamari, on the XBox 360, is an absolutely crackers game that involves you rolling around and picking up stuff.

So far, so rubbish – in reality, it’s one of the most addictive things you’ll ever encounter. Great multiplayer mode as well.

Using the Wii Remote, players simply point at the screen and direct the man with the ball as to where they want him to run by clicking in the open space. However, it’s what happens with your teammates that will prove to be the defining moment of this latest PES. Users will be able to click on other members of their side and tell them where to run, to perform one-two passes or make them create space by dragging away defenders.

It will be possible to manipulate as many players as you can quickly get control of to make set pieces become a vital part of the attacking play. Make forwards run across goal, defenders will spin and attack the back post while the towering striker makes a dart for the near post – all of which is controlled by you.

The game will automatically detect the type of pass you want to make depending on the distance the player you want to pass to is standing. If you point for a pass to a player on the other side of the pitch, the game will loop a high ball over. Likewise, if you chip a ball into space, you can then grab the nearest player and move him towards it.

New gameplay modes have been added, including the Champions Road option. Players get the opportunity to train sub standard team and then play off against other teams online. Defeating these CPU teams enables you to take some of their players and strengthen your team on the road to glory.
