Harvest Moon: Magical Melody

Harvest Moon: Magical Melody is the very first Harvest Moon title to appear on the Wii. If you’ve never played any of the series before, the basic idea is that you run a farm in a place called Forget-Me-Not-Valley.

So far so boring, but really it’s much more than just a game about farming - you can explore the sights around town, or you can even get married! It takes a little time to get into, although once you’re hooked you’ll never know how you managed without Harvest Moon in your life.

Instore at Comet you can pick this up for £9.99. This is definitely one of those cheap games to get if you enjoy titles like Animal Crossing.

Emergency Mayhem

Emergency Mayhem is a Wii exclusive title that mixes fast and frantic driving action with hilarious arcade mini-games. Great, another Wii game with loads of mini-games - how original.

Racing as either a fire truck, ambulance or police car, you can either play the single player Career mode or the Party mode (where up to four players can take part).

Ferrari Challenge is one of those cheap games on the DS

Ferrari Challenge is a racing game that features a range of Ferrari cars to choose from - I bet you’re surprised by that…not. There’s loads of vehicles as soon as you pop the game in, and even more to be unlocked as you go along.

A great idea implemented in this is that at the start of each new racing season new downloadable teams, cars, and content are made available. This ensures your game is up-to-date at all times.

Sendit.com are selling this DS title for £17.89 - click here for more details.

Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen And The Tower Of Mirrors

Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen And The Tower Of Mirrors is the very first Dragon Quest title to appear on the Wii. What with the Wii Remote being handily designed like a sword, you won’t be surprised to learn you can use it just like one.

A beautiful musical score helps fully immerse you into the game, and the rich and vibrant 3D world looks pretty darn amazing as well.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots

Has Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots been over-hyped a little? Possibly yes, but does it really matter - if you were a fan of the series already, you’d have enjoyed it no matter what.

This last outing for Solid Snake isn’t a particularly long title - the new addition of Metal Gear Online gives you an almost entirely new game to play anyway!

Game are selling this PlayStation 3 title for £29.99 - however, if you spend £30 or more you can get £5 off. Click here to get the game and add this wrapping to your basket to go over the threshold, entering the voucher code T5J194MZX at the checkout to bring the price of the game down to £25.98.

Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz (With Buzzers)

If answering lots of questions is your thing, then Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz (with four buzzers) could be just the game for you. With over 5,000 questions on the world of celebrities and films, it’s sure to take you some time to go through the whole lot!

This PlayStation 2 title is great in that you can re-use the buzzers with any of the other Buzz games, and I think (don’t quote me) that you can use them with the PS3 as well.

XBox 360 120GB Hard Drive

Most people might not manage to fill 20GB of space on their XBox 360, but the XBox 360 120GB Hard Drive at least gives you the option of being able to store up to six times the normal amount.

With the recent announcement that you’ll soon be able to copy games to the hard drive to cut down on noise and drive wear, this price seems very decent.

Instore at Toys R Us you can pick up this useful item for £74.99.

Monster House

I’d love to say that Monster House is one of the rare movie tie-in games that’s actually worth getting - sadly, this is far from the truth. Kids might like it though!

Key moments from the film are recreated, and there’s some new adventures inspired by events in the movie, but it’s not one of those cheap games that’s good enough to recommend a purchase.

That said if you do fancy getting this DS game for £9.39 from Forget The Rest, simply click here.

Disney's The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure

Young girls everywhere love The Little Mermaid - not being young or a girl, I am basing this on what my own sister was/is like. Some young boys may enjoy it as well.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure takes the main characters from the animated film and thrusts them into a new journey, where all the DS’ unique attributes (including the microphone and stylus) must be used.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

If you’re a fan of the Star Wars films (and who isn’t?), then Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga should be right up your street. It’s the first video game that allows you to play through all six of the Star Wars movies.

With over 160 different characters, revamped attacks, new special moves, new power-ups and redesigned levels, this is the ultimate in Star Wars gaming. With a Lego twist.

Instore at Toys R Us you can get this XBox 360 title for £16.99.
