Even though their summer sale has only just ended, there’s a couple more Play.com bargains that have appeared.
Great, more money on games that will never get completed!
PS3
Call Of Duty 3 £17.99
Wii
Sega Bass Fishing £9.99
XBox 360

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is the very first Fire Emblem game to appear on the Wii. Like the other games in the series, it’s a deep tactical strategy title which boasts role-playing elements.
You command your troops either by using the Wii Remote like a NES controller, or by using the Classic Controller. I personally prefer the Wii Remote, but you may feel differently.
At Gamestation stores you can currently get this title for £19.98.

There’s many, many first-person shooter titles available on the XBox 360. Prey was one of the first on the console, but is often overlooked by most people - wrongly, if you ask me.
A deep and emotional story is combined with some very good graphics to great effect. Add in some of the most detailed weapons you’ll probably see anywhere, and you have one heck of a good game.
SoftUK are selling this title for £4.99 until Monday the 4th of August - for more information, click here.

Half-Life 2: The Orange Box is excellent value no matter the price, simply down to the fact that you get five games in it. The titles are Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal, and Team Fortress 2.
Out of this little lot the stand-out has to be Portal. It’s innovative and challenging, whilst remaining accessible to even the newest of gamers - truly fantastic stuff.
Pop in to your local Tesco and you should be able to pick up the XBox 360 version for £19.99.
One of the wackiest and most enjoyable games on the XBox 360 is Viva Piñata. After a slight diversion to party games in Viva Piñata: Party Animals, Rare are right back on track with a proper sequel in the shape of Viva Piñata: Trouble In Paradise.
This 360 exclusive sees you return to Piñata Island to try and rebuild the database, which has been wiped out by Professor Pester and his gang of ruffians. With full co-opeartive and online modes, this is a step up in class from the original.
Game have this priced at £29.99 - however, if you spend £30 or more and enter the voucher code ID734TJAW you get £3 off. Add this wrapping to your order to go over the threshold, and using the code brings the title down to £27.98.

It’s easy to criticise Nintendo’s treatment of the Wii - not anticipating the huge demand and failing to provide many top-notch games are very stupid moves indeed. However, they have succeeded in giving gamers (old and young, new and experienced) an exciting new way to play.
If you’re in the market for one, you probably can’t do better than the deal currently running instore at Toys R Us.
For £169.99 you not only get the console (which comes with Wii Sports, a Wii Remote and a Wii Nunchuk), but a copy of Super Fruitfall as well.

After featuring the XBox 360 version of The Bourne Conspiracy a couple of days ago, it was inevitable that the PlayStation 3 release would appear at a reduced price sooner rather than later.
As I said previously, hopes were high that this would rival the Bourne novels and films in terms of excellence - sadly it doesn’t. Although not the worst game ever made, it’s far from being a strongly recommended purchase.

Even though you can now get a PlayStation 3, there’s still a huge variety of top-notch PS2 titles available. With Sony stupidly removing backwards compatibility from the PS3, you have to get a PlayStation 2 console to be able to play these great games (you can even play PS1 titles on it as well).
If you’re interested in getting one, you may want to check out your local Toys R Us store as they are running a couple of decent deals.
For £49.99 you can get a PlayStation 2 with either The Simpsons Game or Buzz! Junior: Monster Rumble (which includes four buzzers) - both of which are decent.
One of the greatest ideas for a game in recent years has to have been Guitar Hero - OK it’s nothing like playing a real guitar, but it makes you feel like you are. Sort of.
Guitar Hero III is the latest in the series, and the very first to appear on the PlayStation 3 and Wii. With some great tunes to play along to, it may very well be the best of the bunch as well.
Amazon have the various different console versions available for good prices - click here to get the PS2 release for £29.97, or click here for the Wii version (which is £39.97). The PS3 (click here) and XBox 360 (click here) releases are slightly more expensive, coming in at £44.97 each.
If you’re a Dragon Ball Z fan and a PSP owner, then you’ll probably be interested in Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai. Not only can you battle the console, but you can also take on your friends over the wireless network.
With a choice of over 18 different characters to choose from and a total of seven game modes, you’re sure to get a fair amount of replay value out of this as well.
