One of the best games of the year so far has to Grand Theft Auto IV. With a massively expanded city to roam around in, as well as a decent online multiplayer mode, this is the best in the series so far.
The XBox 360 version is probably the better of the two currently available, simply because downloadable content (in the form of new missions, plus other stuff) will be appearing at some point.

Darts, darts, glorious darts - the fat man’s sport of choice (not that there’s anything wrong with that). It’s almost as though the Wii was designed with games like PDC World Championship Darts 2008 in mind.
Choose from 16 different players to compete in seven of the major PDC tournaments, or just beat your friends in the multiplayer mode.

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel takes place some 2000 years before the events of the first game, and sees you thrust into the middle of a power struggle between two factions within the High Elves.
The campaign mode features two path choices, Light and Shadow. Selecting either path will determine the ultimate goal of your character - to heal the land, or intesify the chaos.

Gun £7.99

There’s not too many games based on Westerns about, so Gun falls nicely into a category of its own. Horse-riding and shooting are a given - not that that should surprise you!
The ways you can go about punishing folk are plentiful. As well as the usual ability to stab or shoot them, you can also scalp them or even use their boy as cover. Nice.

Kororinpa £17.99

Because of the way the Wii has been designed, many games are able to incorporate the control scheme to create a unique experience. Such is the case with Kororinpa.
Although it’s a puzzle game where you must navigate balls from a start point through to a goal, using the Wii Remote lets you control who the balls move around the screen. If you’ve player Mercury Meltdown Revolution, it’s very similar.

With the Wii version of Animal Crossing due out next year, why not consider getting Animal Crossing: Wild World to tide you over until then? I must warn you that you may very well end up becoming unsociable after playing though.
The basic idea behind the game is that you control a character in a town. To survive you must make friends with the other inhabitants, make money (by selling stuff) and generally make sure that the town is running well.

Sony are bloody irritating at times, such as when they decided not to include rumble feedback in the original PlayStation 3 controller. Thankfully they’ve now rectified this silly mistake.
The Sony PlayStation 3 DualShock 3 Wireless Controller is basically the same as the previous controller, but now includes pressure sensitive buttons that rumble with each action.

The Sims 2 £7.93

The Sims games are great, because they make you feel as though you are some sort of God who can control people and make them do as you wish. I often wonder what it would be like to do that in real life. Yes, I realise I probably need help.
The Sims 2 is the sequel (you’d never have guessed it) to the massively popular original. This is the first time the series has appeared on the PSP, and it arrives with a huge variety of stuff to do.

Guitar Hero £19.99

The very first Guitar Hero title is incredibly difficult to get for a decent price, so I’d strongly advise you to get this while it’s still available - you won’t regret it for a second.
Sadly this doesn’t come with the guitar, but you could always get Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock from Amazon for £29.97 as it comes with a wireless one.

Fishing Master £17.79

If you’ve longed to be a fisherman, but don’t fancy the smell or the fact that you’ll be confined to what you catch by stupid EU regulations, then Fishing Master could be just the game for you.
This Wii title has you using the Wii Remote in the same way that you would use a fishing rod and serves as a fairly accurate experience of actually fishing. Most of the fish are real, but there are also some fictional ones as the game progresses.
