Pure £8.99

If standard racing games aren't your thing, then maybe you should look into the off-road genre – there's still the driving element, but you can perform all sorts of mad tricks and mental stunts.

Pure is probably the best to appear in quite some time, with vertigo-inducing vertical jumps and spectacular tricks being the order of the day. These, combined with a pumping soundtrack, make this well worth taking a look at.

In a move that might annoy some people, Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits is out now – and contains songs from almost all of the first batch of titles in the series, except that this time they are all based on master recordings and include support for full band play.

48 songs have been taken from Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II, Guitar Hero: Rocks The 80s, Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, and rejigged to play in an identical fashion to Guitar Hero: World Tour.

Overlord II £7.95

Whilst the original was criticised by many for being unoriginal and pretty boring, Overlord II is a much improved effort – the combination of great humor and a unique combination of action and strategy make this something well worth adding to your collection.

Taking control of the previous Overlord's son, you must battle against a Roman-inspired civilisation known as the "Glorious Empire" – who are hell-bent on eradicating or enslaving known magical creatures…

When you see the XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 (yes, there are some) with a fair smattering of A-list games, it would be easy to dismiss the Wii out-of-hand. However, I've never yet seen a console so easy to pick up and play – which is an opinion a huge majority of people seem to agree with.

It doesn't matter how old you are, or even if you've never so much as glanced at a video game before – you'll be up and running in next to no time. Oh yeah, and Super Mario Galaxy and The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess are easily up there with the best titles on other systems (and the Wii release of Resident Evil 4 is the definitive version to own).

Rogue Warrior £17.93

Rogue Warrior is a forthcoming tactical first-person shooter which is loosely based on the autobiography of former U.S. Navy SEAL Richard Marcinko. In it you play as Marcinko, who has been sent on a mission into North Korea to disrupt ballistic missile launchers – with ventures into other places like Russia happening along the way.

Mickey Rourke provides the voice of the main character, which is nice, plus there's rumored to be a massive online multiplayer mode included too – however, very little else is known at this time about the game itself.

The Hut are selling both the XBox 360 (click here) and PlayStation 3 (click here) versions for £17.93 each.

Blue Dragon £6.73

Blue Dragon is an epic role-playing game which follows the story of five friends as they travel across the world to confront Nene, the evil king of the Grand Kingdom. Interestingly, this is so huge that it needs a whopping three discs just to contain everything in!

Even for a title which has now been out for a couple of years, the graphics are simply astounding – many current games can't even match the beauty in this one. Special mention to the music too, which adds an extra dimension to an already excellent game.

The Hut have this XBox 360 title available for £6.73 – for more information, click here.

Punch-Out!! is something very rare indeed – one of those Wii cheap games that even hardcore gamers will enjoy! Based on the classic original boxing game, this is as good as the legendary NES title (plus the graphics are much improved too).

Fighting as Little Mac, you must work your way up through the professional boxing circuits – battling some very strange and colorful characters along the way. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to box Donkey Kong, this will let you find out!
