Manhunt 2 £7.99

Manhunt 2 is the long-awaited sequel to one of the most controversial games of all-time – which managed to get itself banned for a time in this country. Thankfully enough edits were made to get it released (although censorship of any kind is very annoying, I must say).

When an experiment at a secret research facility goes catastrophically wrong, two men manage to survive. You play as one of the survivors, in a quest to reveal the truth whilst evading the clutches of the evil Pickman Project…

If you fancy this Wii title, click here to buy it for £7.99 from Play.com. One of those cheap games to get if you feel like some extreme violence (without the jail time!).

Forza Motorsport 2 £7.79

Forza Motorsport 2 is a racing simulator game, as you can probably tell by both the title and looking at the box art. There’s over 300 cars to choose from, with even more available for you to download via XBox Live, and a total of 14 different tracks to race them on.

Where this really comes into its own though is with the online multiplayer mode. Racing your friends all over the world has never been so much fun, and the added bonus of tournaments make this as good as Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in terms of addictiveness.

NASCAR 09 From £17.99

Although the sport isn’t as popular in this country as, say, Formula One, there’s no disputing the amount of skill and talent all of the drivers in the NASCAR stock car racing events possess.

NASCAR 09 is the 12th video game to be produced based on the sport, and is as good as the other titles that came before it. One exciting new feature in this version is the inclusion of Jeff Gordon as a mentor, who you can turn to in times of difficulty.

Click here to get the XBox 360 release for £17.99 from Play.com, or click here to buy the PS3 version for £20.54 from ShopTo.

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit From £13.89

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit is the very first game in the Dragon Ball Z franchise to appear on either the XBox 360 or PlayStation 3. It focuses more in fighting instead of collecting capsules and Dragon Balls for your character, and is in 2D (unlike Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi which was "over the shoulder").

The story mode is is quite impressive, although newcomers may be a little confused as to what’s going on – the graphics are pretty good too.

If you fancy the XBox 360 version, click here to buy it for £13.89 from Sendit.com. PlayStation 3 owners can click here to get their release for £19.99 from ShopTo.

PlayStation 3 (With Killzone 2) £279.99

With the PlayStation 3 retailing for around £299.99 in most places, it’s considered by some to not be good value for money – whilst it is quite a bit of money, remember that you’re also getting once of the best Blu-Ray players around when you get one.

Not only that, but there are now a number of top-quality games available for the console (despite what some 360 fanboys would have you believe). Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots, Little Big Planet, and Killzone 2 are all completely brilliant titles – which brings me nicely to the following bundle…

Click here to get a PlayStation 3, with Killzone 2, for £279.99 from ShopTo.

A couple of months ago a new update was released for PES 2009: Pro Evolution Soccer that included some new kits and extra licensed teams. The best news though is that another update came out the other week that includes all of the activity from the January transfer window, plus some small updates to squad stats.

The game itself as is as good as its ever been, although it’s easy to see why some complain. Not only has FIFA come on in leaps and bounds, but the online play STILL HASN’T BEEN FIXED! Here’s hoping PES 2010 will sort it out, once and for all…

Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe £15.73

Although at first glance fighters from the Mortal Kombat series and the DC universe might seem like an odd pairing, it makes complete sense once you begin playing – there are obvious paralells between both sets of characters for a start.

All of the classic Mortal Kombat style is back for Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe, although heroic DC fighters (such as Batman and Superman) have brutalities instead of fatalities.
