The House Of The Dead: Overkill is a first-person rail shooter that serves as a prequel to the original House Of The Dead game. Appearing exclusively on the Wii, this is quite short – however it’s also incredibly good fun, especially if you get a friend round (nothing like blasting the undead to kingdom come with a chum).
The House Of The Dead: Overkill – Collector’s Edition differs from the other release by coming in a special cardboard slipcase, and including the "Prelude to an Overkill" graphic novel.

Kyle Hyde, a former member of the New York Police Department searching for his old partner, unravels a mystery shrouded in the Hotel Dusk’s past that may lead him to the answers he is looking for.
Hotel Dusk: Room 215 is an excellent graphic adventure game that has been critically praised for its brilliant storyline and engaging character dialogue. It really is very enjoyable, I must say.

Manhunt 2 is the long-awaited sequel to one of the most controversial games of all-time – which managed to get itself banned for a time in this country. Thankfully enough edits were made to get it released (although censorship of any kind is very annoying, I must say).
When an experiment at a secret research facility goes catastrophically wrong, two men manage to survive. You play as one of the survivors, in a quest to reveal the truth whilst evading the clutches of the evil Pickman Project…

Forza Motorsport 2 is a racing simulator game, as you can probably tell by both the title and looking at the box art. There’s over 300 cars to choose from, with even more available for you to download via XBox Live, and a total of 14 different tracks to race them on.
Where this really comes into its own though is with the online multiplayer mode. Racing your friends all over the world has never been so much fun, and the added bonus of tournaments make this as good as Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in terms of addictiveness.

Gears Of War thrusts gamers into a deep and harrowing story of humankind’s epic battle for survival against the Locust Horde, a nightmarish race of creatures that surface from the bowels of the planet.
In this third-person tactical shooter, gamers live and breathe the role of Marcus Fenix. A disgraced former war hero, Marcus seeks personal redemption as he leads his fire team against an onslaught of merciless warrior fiends. Gamers immerse themselves in an experience so intensely emotional and gut-wrenching that playing will be like controlling a blockbuster action movie.

Although the sport isn’t as popular in this country as, say, Formula One, there’s no disputing the amount of skill and talent all of the drivers in the NASCAR stock car racing events possess.
NASCAR 09 is the 12th video game to be produced based on the sport, and is as good as the other titles that came before it. One exciting new feature in this version is the inclusion of Jeff Gordon as a mentor, who you can turn to in times of difficulty.

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit is the very first game in the Dragon Ball Z franchise to appear on either the XBox 360 or PlayStation 3. It focuses more in fighting instead of collecting capsules and Dragon Balls for your character, and is in 2D (unlike Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi which was "over the shoulder").
The story mode is is quite impressive, although newcomers may be a little confused as to what’s going on – the graphics are pretty good too.
If you fancy the XBox 360 version, click here to buy it for £13.89 from Sendit.com. PlayStation 3 owners can click here to get their release for £19.99 from ShopTo.

UPDATE: A couple of new DS titles have been added, along with the incredible PlayStation 3 version of Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for £19.99.
With the PlayStation 3 retailing for around £299.99 in most places, it’s considered by some to not be good value for money – whilst it is quite a bit of money, remember that you’re also getting once of the best Blu-Ray players around when you get one.
Not only that, but there are now a number of top-quality games available for the console (despite what some 360 fanboys would have you believe). Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots, Little Big Planet, and Killzone 2 are all completely brilliant titles – which brings me nicely to the following bundle…
